Ghosting during the job interview process has become a common issue in recent years, and it can be frustrating for employers. Just like candidates expect HR's and companies to revert on the interview process and result, similarly candidates should strive to maintain professionalism and open communication throughout the job search process, even when declining interview invitations or job offers. Ultimately, open and respectful communication benefits both employers and candidates in the long run.

Have you ever left a #jobinterview feeling like you were a good fit for the position, but you didn’t answer the questions as well as you could have, simply because you were too nervous? More often than not, the job interview process is nerve-wracking, including the first question: ‘Tell me about yourself.’ However, the exciting news is that some businesses have started publishing their #interviewquestions in advance. This allows #candidates to be better prepared and less stressed on interview day. That’s why the advice ‘know what you want, be prepared, and ask for it’ sounds more realistic to me now. By and large, this is a smart move for businesses. It helps ensure companies get the #rightpeople for the job, reduces stress for candidates, and helps reduce recruitment costs. https://lnkd.in/eQbND9Gg? #PM

One of the most common reasons for candidates being declined at interview stages that we’ve heard over the years, is that they lacked the ability to “unpack” or “articulate” their experience in a convincing manner. What is your organisation’s stance on providing interview questions ahead of time? John Lewis Partnership has published the job interview questions candidates could be asked on its careers site to help people feel more comfortable about the process and encourage applications. Publishing the potential questions has specific benefits for neurodivergent people, but it said the decision would also assist a broad range of candidates who might feel daunted by the recruitment process. #ReedTalentSolutions #Employer #InterviewQuestions #TalentAcquisition #Neurodiversity

John Lewis have recently published their job interview questions to aid candidate preparation and I must say, I think it's a great idea! As someone who works in #recruitment at James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd, I always try to prepare candidates as much as possible for their interviews, so it's great to see companies like John Lewis starting to offer such resources directly. Interviews can be nerve-wracking, and even the most skilled and capable people can underperform due to nerves. Having access to potential interview questions removes some of the unknown and helps candidates better explain their experience. This ultimately leads to organisations finding the right fit for the position, rather than just the best interviewer. What are your thoughts on this? Check out the link below to read more about John Lewis's initiative! https://lnkd.in/erFqARrn

I've helped 5K+ clients land jobs with 93.4% success rate in the US, Canada, APAC, UK, EMEA, and Australia | I write resumes that represent-the-real-you | I am a girl with opinions and like to be vocal about them
1moGreat tips, but a resume would be enough to include all the highlighted elements. I believe showing the HRM how you can solve their problem goes a long way. Everyone is seeking work-life balance; show them how you can be 1+1 for them instead of being a baby they have to babysit.
