Ever wonder why people ghost during the hiring process? Indeed's report reveals: Top 5 reasons job applicants ghost: 1. Not the right job for me 2. Not the right company for me 3. Pay/offer wasn't enough 4. Benefits weren't good enough 5. Received another job offer At Crossover , we're tackling #1 and #2 head-on. Our secret weapon? Radical honesty in interviews. We tell our hiring managers their #1 job is to explain the role & company. Not sugar-coating, not overselling - just straight talk about: - What the job really looks like day-to-day - Their company culture (the good, the bad, the in-between) - The biggest challenges & opportunities you'll face Why? Because we've all been there - stuck in a job that wasn't what we expected, feeling miserable and scrolling job boards on our lunch break. 😅 Our goal? We want you excited and engaged from day one. If you hear about the role and think "nah, not for me" - we consider that a win! Better to know now than three months in, right? Are all our interviewers perfect at this? Nope, but we're working on it! We're not asking them to spill ALL the tea, but enough for you to make an informed decision. Job seekers: What do you wish more employers would be upfront about in interviews? Hiring managers: How do you ensure candidates really understand what they're signing up for?
I mean.. most employers ghost the candidates that don't make it right? If I hop on a call and the pay, location, style of job, or other info is blatantly wrong (such as Epic putting the wrong city on every single listing) I'm not going to waste my time. If the company is being disingenuous (whether to get more clicks/applicants/publicity/whatever) I'm not giving you the courtesy of a "oh nevermind, no thank you" call/email
The best way to make sure of any candidate for an appropriate job is To make it easy to negotiate with the applicant by direct phone call after reading his/her C.V Then going ahead
Crossover might be hiring internationally, but that does not mean that it is a great opportunity for anyone looking for a job. Their Management, tests, interviews and processes are very long and complicated, even more sophisticated than UN applications. Still, after you go through this complicate process, you will be ghosted forever by the hiring managers as they simply do not care.
Job postings should be transparent and detailed to avoid wasting time on both ends.
Honestly, I ghosted a big company because I thought that I wouldn't simply fit in or they would not accept me after interview/project phase.
Interesting view to alert before it.
Makes sense!
Thanks for sharing.

3wWait, isn't crossover the company that makes you jump through hoops with tests and assignments before you meet a real person? There's like a cognitive test and language test and unpaid real life assignment and Hercules 7 labors and then a few interviews? You can't be seriously this proud 🤣🤣🤣 If your first step isn't an interview it is a red flag to most applicants.
