Some builds are so cool you just can't take your eyes off them! The Gyroscope Walker definitely falls in that category.

A few days ago I came across this cool toy and was amazed at the stability of its movement relating to its base. A gyroscopic phenomenon in practice that is dependent upon two fundamental properties: 1) rigidity in pointing to the same direction and 2) precession in remaining loyal to its basis. The opposite of that could be considered the linear motion, where the object is moving in a straight line and if not affected by any force it will continue indefinitely in that direction (Newton's First Law of Motion). Implementing the above on everyday terms, we have the tendency to revolve around situations and relations which are familiar and predictable "deja vus". That subconscious rigidity to change, which also makes amends for people and circumstances that have already let us down, yet we keep remaining loyal to as our "basis", point to the same toxic direction rather than the unknown and constitute the fundamentals of self-regression instead of progression. A linear motion on the other hand -much uncomfortable as it may be- broadens our horizons, pushes us forwards and allows us the chance of meeting or better yet creating opportunities to excel and advance to that other level, where despite being affected by any force, one continues indefinitely in a straight line. It takes self awareness and courage to break away from the rotational inertia and move to the angular momentum. Which motion are you in?
