How Do We Minimize Resistance to Change? https://lnkd.in/gzRe7hWW Organizations must deal with new government regulations, new products, growth, increased competition, technological developments, and a changing workforce--which all force change. Change is pervasive and inevitable to the growth and survival of an organization. Unfortunately, the greater the change (and the larger the organization), the greater the resistance to change. The 6 Change Approaches is a model to prevent, decrease, or minimize resistance to change in organizations. These 6 approaches are: 1. Education and Communication 2. Participation and Involvement 3. Facilitation and Support 4. Negotiation and Agreement 5. Manipulation and Co-optation 6. Explicit and Implicit Coercion #change #management #organizationalchange #changeresistance #changeagents #strategy #transformation #organization #consulting

Brad said “I’m never down. I'm either up or getting up.” Being resilient is not easy. You must understand when you feel you have failed, that you must bounce back. However, you become a stronger Leader if you push yourself to learn from your mistakes and build back up to be a stronger person. This is also highly visible within your Team. If they see you down, they will follow. But if you make yourself available to your Team and have a plan to shake off a mistake or a failure, you become a better Team and a Leader. Now that is a valuable skill. Don’t think of the bad situation as an “L” for a loss. This is an “L” for a Lesson on how to overcome obstacles. Stay strong and smile! Share with me your thoughts on being a resilient Leader. Happy Friday! Video Credit: YouTube Channel – Maxwell Leadership

Flat organizations lead ideas into actions. For this reason, an organizational structure with little hierarchy where a manager can have upwards of twenty to thirty direct reports and that puts more power in the hands of the problem owners is ideal; it enables quick reactions to ideas, and it also provides an easier path for ideas to penetrate through the entire organization.

Global Performance & Executive Coach to CEOs & Leadership Teams | Top Ranked Speaker | Coached & Advised 250+ Leaders | Author | Follow for Insights on Mindset, Leadership & Performance | The World Class Leaders Show 🎙
There's one crucial mindset shift that defines winners in both sports and business. It's the shift advised by the legendary coach Doc Rivers - former basketball coach of the Boston Celtics: Pressure is not a burden. It's a privilege. This is a paradigm shift for CEOs too. As a leader, you should feel privileged that you've worked hard enough to put yourself in a situation of pressure where you can make an impact. You deserve to be in it. In the real world though, many struggle to cope with the pressure and responsibility of their role. Either because they feel pressure is too high, or because they feel they are not good enough for the challenge. When that happens, I always coach my clients to go back to one fundamental question: Why play the game? Being in a position to run a big game is hard but is equally a privilege. My advice: 👇 Stop running away from pressure. Instead, run towards it. This will make your journey more fulfilling. https://lnkd.in/eEc7A8CN
