Powerful video on how leaders can create inclusion and psychological health and safe workplace, rather than engaging in microaggressions and potential discrimination! Everyone deserves to be supported in their workplace to be able to perform to the best of their abilities, noting systems, workload, process fall on the employers side. As a Leader, do you ask your employees how you can support them to be the best in their role? Does your senior manager ask you?

Experience Based on true events!! 😇 A former colleague/hire reached out to me seeking advice on compensation, breakdowns and tax implications. We had a good hour or so chat that did not just revolve around numbers, it was a nostalgic journey back to our shared experience, laughter and camaraderie. 🤩 What struck me most was when she/he mentioned how much he/she enjoyed conversations (professional & personal) with me as it was never one-sided, a respectful exchange of perspectives, opinions and perceptions, most importantly respecting each other’s view points. These words were such a pleasant surprise. It’s immensely fulfilling to receive that I fostered an environment of mutual respect and understanding. As a professional dealing solely with people, my guiding principles always remained: - To be understood, first try to understand. - Be an attentive, patient and genuine listener. - What you say is important, but where, when, and how you say it matters even more. - Respect individual differences and preferences. - Foster trust and rapport through transparency and honesty. What guiding principles do you follow in your professional interactions?🤔 #WorkplaceCulture #CommunicationSkills #MutualRespect

Looking for respect, value, flexibility, autonomy, purpose, empowerment, and work-life balance? Consider a public safety career as a law enforcement officer or prosecutor or criminal justice system professional. Your community needs you. You will never be rich but you will be rewarded. And, you will be given the opportunity to improve your community and have a positive impact on the lives of others. "Through our research, we found that only 25% of respondents feel they consistently receive the respect and value they deserve—and even fewer experience the flexibility, autonomy, and work-life balance they seek. People also told us they yearn for purpose, empowerment, and genuine connection to their work, but just 29% say their job consistently fulfills these needs." #itsnotaboutmoney https://lnkd.in/em9bEFJF

#ExecutiveWorking #SmartProductivity I love this piece. Four powerful ideas to consider: 1. "Productivity isn’t just a matter of what you accomplish; it’s about how you feel about what you do". 2. At this time, we need a more structured organizational scheme that reflects the actual complexity of work. 3. "The goal isn’t to be prescient about your time (talking about planning) but to be intentional with it". 4. We urgently need to implement communication control measures (in the era of excessive meetings during work hours)
How can knowledge workers tame the chaos of their commitments—and address the sense of meaningless busyness that haunts so many of us in our current moment?

What a fantastic read with questions to think about when it comes to how free you feel in the workplace. What are the four workplace freedoms that organizations should focus on? the freedom to be, the freedom to become, the freedom to fade, and the freedom to fail. One that caught my eye was the freedom to fade. In the fast paced world of professional services, it feels like there is always something else that needs to be done. There is something to be said for slowing down and catching your breath at appropriate times, and knowing that it is entirely acceptable for you to do so. #Freedoms #WorkplaceCulture
We asked our readers: How free do you feel in the workplace? Organizations are succeeding in some areas — and falling way short in others. s.hbr.org/3PgnyPX
