I was full-time freelance graphic designer and here’s my 2 cents:🪙🪙 1. Some of us treated poorly by past company that make it hard to join a company after doing freelance for a while. 2. Not just only companies will compete for workforce, they also compete for overtime work. Freelance job offer much more than overtime hourly rate. (I don’t think companies can compete with this) 3. Freelance have advantage on flexibility. Of course company offer stability but, freelancer also can achieve stability. 4. Freelance offer fast cash & high income potential. More work you do, more income you generate. 5. Easy access to high pay knowledge. Udemy, coursera, and even youtube (i just watched 9 hours of tutorial about adobe premier pro). Don’t need formal certification. If you have enough knowledge to create something look professional, you good to go. 6. No need to commute. Post-covid, zoom and work from home is now common. 7. Variety of work (challenging and not boring). Can work with various industries. 8. Can decline uninterested job. ==== I chose to work full-time because of how much opportunity and learning potential that I can gain in the company.
