Please join us in congratulating Broadbent Institute | Institut Broadbent on the launch of Prespectives journal's visual brand and website! A Canadian Journal of Political Economy and Social Democracy, this new publication presents commentary, interviews, peer-reviewed analysis, and other content to help inform strategists, organizers, academics, and policymakers of the theory, ideas, and practice that can be used to build a just and equitable world. We worked with the journal's team to develop a smart, accessible, and even fun visual brand that connects with generations of progressive Canadian left. We also created their new website once again prioritizing accessibility to ensure the journal reaches a wide audience, motivating visitors to further engage in the issues that matter most to them. And, of course, this new website is built on WordPress and uses the block editor for flexible and robust content crafting. It’s also easy to maintain for the journal’s staff. ✨ Ever heard the saying, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is"? It fits perfectly with those Multi-Platform Publishing Tools that promise to do it all. You know the ones—post once, and it magically appears everywhere. But here’s the scoop: while they might check the box, they rarely get it right. Each platform has its own unique vibe, evolving styles, and specific formatting needs. No one-size-fits-all solution can keep up with that! For example, LinkedIn recently changed how they display links. Previously, large format photos were pulled from your site. Now, you need to upload a photo separately to achieve the same impact. That's where we come in. 🌟 We carefully tailor your content for each platform, ensuring your photos, videos, and links look flawless and engage your audience wherever they are. Times change. We help your business grow with the times. ✨ DeBlasioMarketing.com ✨

This post is dedicated to exploring the advantages of bold and daring copies. Here's what we can glean from this outdoor campaign as business leaders and fellow writers. 1. Attention-grabbing: A bold copy breaks away from the ordinary, capturing the audience's attention in a crowded space where conventional messages might get lost. 2. Memorability: It stands out, leaving a lasting impression on readers who might remember it long after encountering it. 3. Boldness and Creativity: Demonstrating a willingness to take creative chances showcases a brand's unique personality and sets it apart from competitors. 4. Engagement: Bold copy can evoke strong emotions, encouraging readers to react, whether through sharing, commenting, or taking action. 5. Targeted Impact: By pushing boundaries, it resonates more deeply with a specific target audience, fostering a sense of connection and loyalty. 6. Differentiation: In industries where many messages sound similar, bold copy breaks the mold and establishes a distinct identity for the brand. 7. Building Trust: When done thoughtfully, it can earn trust by demonstrating authenticity and transparency, highly valued by modern consumers. The dating site OkCupid creatively flipped the DTF acronym in an outdoor campaign by W+K New York. “We’re on a mission to flip the script on DTF,” OkCupid stated in a blog post. “Shouldn't the person it describes decide what it means? The 'F' should be yours to choose, to represent whatever you want it to be.” While writing boldly offers these benefits, it's essential to balance boldness with careful consideration to avoid unintended negative consequences.

Starting today, and every Monday, I am going to share quick accessibility bites to help you make your digital content more user friendly for anyone who interacts with it. Any questions, please feel free to reach out. Today's tip for making your LinkedIn posts more accessible. I've recently become more active on LinkedIn, and I wanted to talk about some things you can do to make your posts more accessible for screen reader users like me. Here is an example of a font I've been seeing a lot of lately: 𝑨𝒍𝒕𝒆𝒓 This font may look visually interesting, but it doesn't read well with screen readers. What I hear is "Bold italic capital A bold italic small l bold italic small t" etc. This makes it almost impossible to know what message your trying to get across. In addition to this complicated readout, if I try to use shortcuts to read the font, the screen reader does not recognize the characters individually, leaving me without a way to interact with your post. There doesn't always have to be a complete sacrifice of visually appealing content, but try to ensure that it is not at the cost of users being able to read your posts at all.
