FOVA Update: Our Statement to Congress! Today, The Executive Committee of the Friends of VA Medical Care and Health Research (FOVA) Coalition, Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), Paralyzed Veterans of America, American Thoracic Society, DAV (Disabled American Veterans), American Psychological Association, and the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB), submitted a letter to Congress urging increased funding - $980M - to support veterans’ research initiatives at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This proposed increase of $64 million (7%) over the FY 2023 funding level reflects FOVA's dedication to sustaining the trajectory of growth and possibility for the VA research program.
