4 roles to strengthen Thailand’s competitive advantage in the exhibition industry! Dr. Duangdej Yuaikwarmdee, director of the exhibition department, has proposed strategies aimed at bolstering Thailand's competitive edge in the exhibition industry, emphasizing three key pillars: the new S-curve industries, the existing S-curve industries, and the flagship initiatives. The key takeaways from exhibition department are as follows. • "CPCT" are the four keys that stand for Collaboration, Partnership, Co-creation, and Thought Leadership. It is a set of engagements to fulfill four roles in boosting opportunities to attract and expand new and existing businesses for the exhibition Department. • The Exhibition Department is focused on strengthening Thailand's economic competitiveness among industry players by creating regional industry databases. It enables Thai exhibition businesses to analyze data and formulate strategies that align with the regional market, which possibly more exhibitors and visitors. In the long run, both new and existing businesses are expanding within Thailand's international trade exhibition industry. • Encouraging both the public and private sectors to recognize the importance of using exhibitions as a marketing tool to propel their business forward. This involves working with the Thailand Exhibition Association (TEA) to organize exhibitions and conferences under the project “Thailand X-Change”. And what a great day it was! I had the pleasure of modeling “Transparent Technology” a Session about #data, #datastrategy, and best practices. Huge thanks to Hal Pollard for trusting me with this important topic as week as Larry Cuddy, Jr., Yamini Vellore, Harris Ligon (David 😂), and Grant Pollock for being amazing panelists! These guys had no questions in advance but took each one I asked in stride - especially when I put them on the spot. Key takeaway - get started on building a #datastrategy in your organization.
We hope you enjoyed yesterday's packed reception! Get ready #IANAEXPO, Tuesday is about to begin.

Wow, I loved this project...🍗🔥 As many of us know, sometimes as an event marketer you have to 'step into' the role of graphic designer/video editor (thank you Canva). I had such a vision for this, but no idea where to even begin executing it. Teasing a panel that nods to such a viral sensation like 'Hot Ones', naturally I wanted to do it justice. A part of me was praying they would release a free version of Sora AI today, so it could do it for me 😂 However that got me thinking, can AI still help? It might not be able to generate the video, but could it at least get me off my feet with this idea? So, I put in a full editors brief into ChatGPT. The panel we were teasing, the release dates, location, style we wanted. I gave it all. I also added that we would need to make this on Canva. This AI spit out a full step by step guide, on how to execute this purely through Canva for me. It gave me a script, it gave me timings for each frame, it gave me recommendations for stock footage, sound effects. I was completely blown away. The thing is, is that though it was super helpful, it still wasn't perfect. It had allowed me to jump start this little video, but I knew we could do more. For example, I wanted the neon signage at the end, but also wanted to give it that 'flicker' like you see on the show. I asked my colleague GPT to help, and in seconds it gave me a step by step guide, on exactly where I could find that style and how I could animate every frame effectively to achieve what I wanted, as a sort of 'Canva work around'. It's actually blown my mind. But, it's also reassured me. Even with AI's new capabilities, we will always rely on people to bring their own creativity to a project. There was so much it helped me to execute, but the ideas were still my own. And I love that. AI continues to be a HOT topic, so I hope to keep the conversation going at our ELX Annual Congress this year... Can't wait to see all our members again in Las Vegas soon! 👀☀️ P.S. I recommend listening with the sound on 🔊😎 #AI #Video #EventMarketer

On October 24, 2023, Thai Exhibition Association (TEA), led by Mr. Loy Joon How, 1st Vice President of Thai Exhibition Association and Ms. Perapan A., Secretary General of Thai Exhibition Association, participated in an event to launch the Directions to drive Thai MICE Industry in 2024. The event was organized by The Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) and took place at the Meeting Room on the 2nd floor of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. . Mr. Chiruit Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya, President, Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) or TCEB, disclosed that TCEB’s directions in driving Thai MICE industry aim to respond to the shifting needs in both local and international markets. For TCEB’s 2024 operation that will be a stepping stone towards the Springboard of ASIA's Growth, the 3 departments of the bureau will take charge as follows: . 1. Mega Events and Festivals - Through the years, TCEB have provided support to more than 100 festivals, generating over 50,000 million in circulation for the Thai economy. . 2. International Exhibition - According to the report of the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry or UFI, Thailand was in 2022 ranked No.1 in ASEAN and No.4 in Asia in terms of exhibition spaces. In 2023, exhibition has been a key factor in the increase of revenue and the number of foreign MICE travellers entering Thailand. . 3. Domestic MICE Market - In 2023, the number of domestic MICE travellers has accounted for 16.5 million or equivalent to 95% of overall local and overseas MICE travellers, generating 50,000 million baht of revenue.
