It is abundantly clear your doctors at Nelson Medical Specialists & The Surgery in Naguru failed to do tests and ascertain answers to crucial questions about my chronic back pain. Misdiagnoses have consequences. You don't get it! I was shocked to hear that they reported to you that I'm not sick, and you believed them without seeking a second opinion. Should this be considered to be an isolated incident caused by human error or is it business as usual? Don't we deserve better? Why should I struggle paying hospital bills out of pocket for a life threatening condition when I have hundreds of millions of Uganda shillingis stashed in my NSSF savings account? Define a “collective problem solving methodology” to increase your team’s ROI and overall satisfaction. Your entire team should have a basic understanding of common problem solving methodologies. Focus on: • Feature requests should include a hypothesis. • Past and current findings should be centrally located. • Individual and departmental work should be traceable back to OKRs. These should be baked into your product operations framework and easy for your team to continually leverage. Don’t have anyone in your company focused on this? To advisors hiring a Jr/Associate advisor. Give them Carte Blanche to question and challenge everything: processes, methodologies, reasoning for everything you do. Not only does it help them learn, but it also puts a fresh set of eyes on what you're doing. If you can't explain or justify what it is your doing without supporting proof as to why, odds are they just uncovered something your doing wrong.

I really like this approach to hiring: Esben Warming Pedersen at Nordea is looking for a Product Owner to join his team of 90+ colleagues working in the Digital team serving Large Corporate customers. Instead of the generic job ad, Esben has recorded a video presentation outlining the team, the situation and the need for the role. Right at the end he even highlights the bank's super Copenhagen office facilities (Nordea's Metro HQ, is excellent). These are important aspects to touch upon for any potential candidates in a highly competitive region. I think this approach by Esben is inspired and, I would hope, likely to really increase the quality (and possibly quantity) of candidates that will apply as a result. It also immediately answers a lot of the basic questions that you might not easily answer in the text of a job advert. Plus, I would suggest that the human aspect of hearing Esben describe the role and the opportunity will be very compelling to the target audience. How are you reaching new talent to come and work with you? Have you considered adopting a similar approach to Esben and Nordea? Good luck Esben and nice work.
