Maybe it's the place of public health officials to ask these questions and not the researchers who are just gathering the data, but these findings would make me wonder what leads people to smoke, drink, and gain excess weight? It is widespread public knowledge that those things are bad for you. I don't think people need reminders of that. What is happening that leads people to these risk factors despite knowing the harm? I have my ideas but it's interesting that after decades of PSAs about the harms of smoking, drinking, and obesity, leaders in health/medicine disparities and equity think that people are actively choosing to do these things. Could access control and increased preventative measures and awareness help? Possibly. But are the people who knowingly risk their health for a moment of comfort and peace going to care about those measures if they don't have the resources to replace the comfort and peace you're asking them to give up?

New research shows that ML models are highly accurate at predicting rescue medication use, a potential signal for impending exacerbations, when utilizing patient medication use data — collected by digital health platforms like Propeller — in conjunction with other inputs including air pollutant and weather data. This finding highlights the promise of digital health platforms in revolutionizing the management of high-cost chronic diseases by enabling the identification, prediction, and ultimately, prevention of exacerbations. I want to share I have had and still feel these unexplainable but very real symptoms. I may not know science like the experts but I know my body and my mind. Covid and its variants are not going away. We need to learn to listen to people and their pain/discomfort. The healthcare field needs person-partnered/person-centered care for better health outcomes. People-centered care is not always a favored or cost- effective conversation but it’s vitally needed! Talk to your trusted medical advisors for your and your family's best short and long-term COVID care options. #longtermcovid #Covid #bloodtest #newresearch
