Employer/Leader highlight: 💥🧠 Last week I spent time with Brodie Stenhouse, RSW and his team at the Chantel Berube Youth Centre out at City of Beaumont This dynamic group of youth workers and social workers is on a mission to establish safe spaces for play and community for diverse youth aged 12-17. Their compassion and human centric approaches are having a huge positive impact in the community. While they were familiar with the concept of #neurodiversity having served #neurodivergent youth, this session marked a new focus to discuss the topic and what it means for them as a team. Brodie Stenhouse, RSW the center supervisor, led with vulnerability, openly sharing his own neurotype including strengths and challenges he experiences. As a result this created a safe space for his team to do the same. This dialogue heightened awareness of individual sensitivities, paving the way for new engagement strategies going forward that are neuroinclusive. Noteworthy: Neurodiversity applies to each and everyone of us and the infinite ways in which we operate. This isn't something that just applies to "my employees" only. Follow Brodie Stenhouse, RSW lead and watch what happens. If you're keen to kickstart this conversation, feel free to reach out to me at CAREER TLC Let's #normalizemindsofallkinds in the workplace and create cultures where everyone belongs. #neurodiversityatwork #traininganddevelopment #leadbyexample #curiosity #teameffectiveness #neurodiversityawareness

At Skating Panda, culture is one of our key focuses. As a result, we also specialise in engaging companies on their EDI policies, helping them refocus their priorities and evolve their culture to meet societal and employee expectations and allow all stakeholders to feel engaged and included. However, inclusivity comes in many different forms, as our Hyper Panda Hind discovered last week when she attended a LinkedIn Live to discuss the importance of appearance-inclusive workplaces when it comes to visible differences, attended by Laura Mathias and Phyllida Swift, CEO of Face Equality International What does that mean and how can you make sure your company takes it seriously? Read Hind’s blog to find out more! #EDI #Inclusivity #VisibleDifferences #WorkplaceCulture #RealImpact #Purpose #Culture #WorkplaceCultureMatters #SkatingPanda #BCorp
