October is my birth month; 𝒉𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓, you don't need to bother about wishing me on my birthday! :-) Here's a (no)fun fact about me: 𝗜 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝘆 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀. But don't get me wrong! I'm not a boring person. Life happens, you know! (Just please don't ask me the reason! 🙈) Then, why am I even sharing this!?! Because this is still an important month for me from other perspectives. Usually, I like to name months depending on my primary focus for the month. This month has been named — "𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬' 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡". I'll be mainly focusing on building solid systems for my business this month. 🎯 I mean, I do have certain systems in place but I want to make them more robust and develop some new ones as well. Okay! That's it—𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑛𝑜𝑤!

Today is my birthday ! The most common way we celebrate birthdays is by eating cake and maybe a happy birthday message or call . If you are lucky someone hosts a party in your name with the birthday boy or girl receiving gifts too - lots or litte depending on the size of the party. But should birthdays be more than that? Today I find myself, on my birthday, reflecting on my role in my life , in the lives of my family , my community and my country That journey all started with my birthday . In that sense a “birth “ day is the single most important day in your life . And the annual birthday that follows is your annual state of your nation… Since we” own that day “ how do we make it even more significant ? I think back to Nelson Mandela and him having a big party for children of Qunu on his birthday and then how his birthday has sparked off an an annual act of giving So what can I do beyond my birthday that can impact greater society,? How can we make our birthdays a most significant day in other peoples lives So this is what I want to do … I champion people right ? So how about I champion someone or a cause that’s really important to you ? So how you can tag me and mention the person and cause and I’ll share it . It’s my small way of getting far more people a seat at the table . Birthdays are so much more than having you cake and eating it ,

Birthdays are special occasions that hold different meanings and traditions across cultures and individuals. In the Western world, we often associate birthdays with cakes and candles, but the way people celebrate varies widely worldwide. As caregivers, it's crucial to understand the cultural backgrounds and personal preferences of our seniors when planning birthday celebrations. Here are some ideas to consider when celebrating a birthday for a senior resident in a long-term care facility: https://conta.cc/3PXyUbM

The Significance of Celebrating Birthdays Birthdays hold a special place in our lives, offering a moment to reflect on the past year's journey, express gratitude, and set new aspirations. This annual ritual is more than just marking the passage of time; it's a celebration of life's milestones and a testament to our resilience. One of the fundamental reasons behind celebrating a birthday is to express gratitude to God. It's a day to thank the Lord for the gift of life and the experiences that have shaped us. This act of thanks is a powerful reminder of the faithfulness and grace that has carried us through another year. A birthday serves as a natural checkpoint for self-reflection. It's a time to ponder over personal achievements, lessons learned, and areas for growth. By setting realistic and achievable goals for the upcoming year, we embark on a journey of continuous self-improvement. Celebrating a birthday is more than mere festivities; it's a profound acknowledgment of life's preciousness. It's an occasion to acknowledge our blessings, cherish our accomplishments, and chart a course towards a brighter future. Embracing birthdays in this holistic manner enriches our lives with meaning, purpose, and a renewed sense of gratitude. Join me to celebrate my milestones on 19th of September as I will be adding another year to my age. Wishing myself a very beautiful happy birthday in advance. #StayEngaged #Future #Birthday #Thanksgiving #SelfReflection #CreativityAndInnovation #Hannahclare #TheWriterFarmer #30DayContentChallenge

Let's redefine what birthdays really mean for our little ones Yesterday marked the celebration of my daughter's birthday. As we all happily decorated with balloons, one girl said her birthdays are always "very grand" with big pizzas and fancy return gifts. That got a boy excited, and he said he'd celebrate his next birthday in a 5-star hotel. It got me thinking about how kids see things. Birthdays are meant to be fun times, where friends come together to share joy. It's about enjoying each other's company, making cool memories, and working together. The real deal is all about spreading happiness and building strong friendships. In a world where big celebrations often mean expensive stuff, it's important for kids to know the true meaning of birthdays – a time to celebrate togetherness and make awesome memories that stick with us. 🎉 I have created a simple guide for parents on "Talking to Kids." Does your company have a standard for handling patients or consumers with a Date of Birth of February 29th? For those who have this birthday, they may celebrate it in a variety of ways - some on February 28th, others on March 1st, some choose not to celebrate at all and still others choose to do a celebration on their actual birthday every 4 years. When it comes to parties - to each their own! But when it comes to your systems and procedures, this is an anomaly that needs to be planned for and managed. Most agencies designate March 1st as the de facto date of recognition for years when February 29th is not observed. The rationale is that the person has not 'aged up' until the day itself. So, you are not one year older until March 1st those other years. And, for companies who use Julian Dates, they too need to consider how they will handle the 'extra' day that occurs every 4th year. Today is DAY 060 this year, but next year DAY 060 will go back to being March 1st. There is no doubt that little glitches will be found in the coming days or weeks as the Leap Year confounds things just a bit. It's just one day, but it makes all the difference. And, although it's been going on for millennia, it's still not 'top of mind' for most when they're planning things out. Hope you have a Happy Leap Day! (And, by the way, "Happy Birthday!" to any Leap Year babies.)

Unlike most people, my birthdays have only improved since I became an adult. That's pretty much the only benefit of your birthday being the first day of school. It's a good time for reflection, gratitude, resolutions and wine, but this is LinkedIn, so before I start with the wine: 5 reminders about management from organizing my birthday picnic - People need reminders. It doesn't mean their not into what you told them, they're just busy and distracted, especially if their kids are starting school today. - You can get all the help you need if you just ask for it. Nobody can guess what needs to be done if you smile and say "oh no, I got this, thanks!" - While a large budget does make everything easier, it's really not necessary most of the time. - Listen to advice! - Don't lose sight of the "why". Try to enjoy it a little. Picture from my 28th birthday (all my birthdays since have been 29 so)

I wasn't planning on celebrating my birthday this year. Ain't nobody got time for that - right? There are deadlines to meet, paperwork to fill.. I don't have time to celebrate my birth- Oooh maybe that is the point of adult birthdays. To force us busy adults to stop and reflect. Reflect on what an additional year of experience brought them. For me.. In the last year I learnt about self care. I am proud to say I no longer feel guilty about having downtime in the evening. I am human -not a machine. Things need to be done but it doesn't need to be done 24/7... ... I think adult birthdays need to be marked. For ourselves. So if you have a birthday in the next twelve months.. This is your must-have present 🎁: A slot on your calendar 📆. Indulge yourself in 1. Insight. Turn the log of the past year into a introspective journal so so you can build on what you learnt. 2. Nourishing Friendships. Allow yourself to connect with old friends who reach out. Many busy adults like myself have rich relationships with people .. that we never speak to... They were your best friend for a reason.. and although you don't interact as frequently as you used to.. they are still awesome people.

The older I get the more I realize how unimpressive my own birthday is… I turn 31 today and all I can really think is… Nice. Another year survived on earth. Now, maybe that’s a bit cynical, but hear me out. — In reality, other celebrations are far superior. Here are 3 celebrations that I would say are worth celebrating more than adult birthdays. Your kids birthdays! - You actually kept another human alive and trained them up for another year. That’s a celebration worth having! Wedding Anniversaries! - This might be the biggest thing to celebrate. For anyone who is married or has been married, you know how much effort, communication and work it takes. It’s the greatest journey, but can be a challenging one when two imperfect people commit to each other for the rest of their lives. Celebrate this at every opportunity! Work anniversaries! - These are something that I’m extremely proud of. To grind, work and succeed year after year at a job takes effort, determination, and faithfulness, teamwork, grit and a whole host of other things. This is absolutely worth celebrating! Don’t get me wrong, birthdays are great and all it takes work to thrive and grow year after year, but these three are harder imho. What else is on this list? I’m sure I’m missing some.
