This Pride Month, #GUESSCares hosted a Pride Bingo event in support of the Los Angeles LGBT Center! GUESS HQ featured incredible performances by Aurora Sexton, Kyra Jeté, Miami Knight, and Lolita Colby. Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of our GUESS team, we raised significant funds for the Los Angeles LGBT Center. Since 1969, the Center has been a cornerstone for the LGBTQ+ community, offering essential services such as healthcare, housing, education, youth programs, legal support, cultural activities, and advocacy. It remains a vital resource, supporting LGBTQ+ individuals across various aspects of their lives and championing LGBTQ+ rights for equality. We’re proud to contribute to an organization dedicated to creating a world where LGBTQ+ individuals thrive as healthy, equal, and complete members of society. Check out some highlights from the event below. Learn more about the Los Angeles LGBT Center: https://lalgbtcenter.org/ #GUESSCares #LosAngelesLGBTCenter #Pride

Helping business owners bring their brand to life | Marketing + Brand Strategy Specialist | Founder of KENNEDY Studio | Marketing Women Inc Mentor
It's World Pride Month....and sorry adding a rainbow to your product is not Allyship - it's marketing. While it's wonderful to see rainbows everywhere, it's important to remember that true allyship goes beyond adding a rainbow to your product or website. Allyship means: ❤️ Listening and Learning: Taking the time to understand the experiences and challenges of the LGBTQ+ community. 💜 Supporting and Empowering: Amplifying LGBTQ+ voices, supporting LGBTQ+ businesses, and advocating for equal rights. 💙 Creating Inclusive Environments: Ensuring your workplace and products are genuinely inclusive and safe for everyone, not just during Pride Month but all year round. 💛 Taking Action: Donating to LGBTQ+ causes, participating in events, and pushing for policies that support the community. Adding a rainbow to your product can be a symbol of support, but without meaningful action, it risks being seen as just another marketing tactic. Let's make this World Pride Month not just about visible support, but about real, impactful allyship. Together, we can make a difference. #worlpridemonth #LGBTQplusallyship #inclusiveworkplace #realsupport

June marks Pride Month, a month dedicated to celebrating LGBTQ+ communities worldwide. The fact that we celebrate in June is not insignificant - it coincides with the date of the 1969 Stonewall riots, widely credited as the catalyst of the Queer Liberation movement. Many countries have made great strides towards LGBTQ+ equality - but this has not been a globally consistent, or linear, path. Many Queer people are still subject to immense discrimination and injustice, and many Governments have or are seeking to introduce legislation which will roll back some of the progress that has been made towards equality - including in some of OC&C’s geographies. It is for this reason that we commemorate Pride - to celebrate the progress we have made as a society, but also to raise awareness of the inequality and discrimination LGBTQ+ people face daily. At OC&C, we look forward to hearing from our colleagues and clients about their journeys as LGBTQ+ people, and fundraising for our charity partner Just Like Us as well as other charities. To my fellow social media managers: Pride month has started, and I want to encourage you all to approach this time with authenticity and purpose, not just profit. Far too often, brands treat Pride as a mere marketing opportunity, slapping rainbows on our logos and pushing product sales without truly supporting the LGBTQ+ community. This is not only hurtful to the queer community but can actively damage trust and credibility. Instead, I challenge us to use our platforms to amplify LGBTQ+ voices, highlight essential causes, and show up as true allies - not just during June but year-round. Donate portions of profits to LGBTQ+ organisations, collaborate with queer creators, and use your reach to educate and inspire. Pride is about celebrating hard-won rights and uplifting marginalised identities. Let's not reduce it to a corporate cash grab. #PrideMonth #LGBTQMarketing #SocialMediaManager #AuthenticBranding #CorporateAllyship ( this is an AI generated image🙈)

Pride Month is a time to come together and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. We all have a responsibility to support each other and show solidarity with those who are marginalized. We can take action to show our support for LGBTQ+ rights and create a more inclusive world. Here are a few ways to get involved: 🧡Educate yourself about LGBTQ+ issues: Research the community's history, challenges, and successes. 💛Speak up: Speak up for the LGBTQ+ community and stand up for their rights when you see discrimination or inequality. 💚Support LGBTQ+ organisations: Donate to charities and organisations that support the LGBTQ+ community. 💙Be an ally: Use your privilege to support the LGBTQ+ community, and listen to their stories and experiences. 💜Celebrate Pride: Share your support on social media, attend an event, and celebrate the progress that has been made in the fight for equality. Let's come together and show our support for Pride Month! Our Pride Month 2024 booklet highlights the history and importance of Pride, celebrates LGBTQ+ tech pioneers and current influencers, and offers resources to learn about LGBTQ+ history and culture and the changes needed for equality. A 2019 article in the Harvard Business Review made the case that LGBTQ+ inclusion is good for the economy. As more businesses make this connection, they are stepping forward to make an economic case for non-discrimination protections and against discriminatory laws. Fast forward to Andrea Frank, a Door County resident and recent Canary Fund grant recipient who helped to develop a project in helping businesses show their support for and welcoming the LGBTQ+ community. The Pride Flag Initiative (from Open Door Pride) is designed to offer free pride flags to local businesses or organizations to fly outside of their business to show customers they are a supportive, welcoming, and inclusive place. The goal of our initiative is to have all businesses flying the flag and support the LGBTQIA+ community. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/gpC6exH4 Do you have an idea for a project to make your community more welcoming? Our grant application window is open until July 31, 2024. Our application process is easy and could help support your idea with a seed grant between $1500-$5000. Check us out at www.thecanaryfund.org.

Welcome to 2024! Our founder Joshua Hobson has written a letter to the community to summarise the current state of LGBTQ+ rights in the UK and across the world, and where we see Ecommerce Pride in relation to this. Read more: http://bit.ly/3vKPFR6 As we stand on the threshold of 2024, we find it necessary to reflect upon the current state of LGBTQ+ rights both domestically and globally, and how these have impacted the first year of Ecommerce Pride’s run. Our objectives - fostering a vibrant LGBTQ+ ecommerce community, offering valuable resources to brands and companies, and supporting local and national LGBTQ+ charities - remain pivotal. These objectives are not just aspirations; they're our collective responsibility. Read more: http://bit.ly/3vKPFR6 #lgbt #lgbtq #ecommerce #retail
