It's Sunday, so what on earth are you doing reading this? But now that you've started you have to finish. And I need you to be honest with yourself. 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗻... - Every hire you've made has worked out to be the person you wanted and needed? - The latest wiz-bang AI and machine learning in your candidate platform meant everyone you interviewed was perfectly filtered, sorted and suited from an experience and skill perspective, but most you met lacked that 𝗷𝗲 𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝘀 𝗾𝘂𝗼𝗶 that would make them a great fit? - The job description you were hiring, which might have taken you 5-10 minutes or less to write, attracted the perfect person you hired? - You had doubts in the interviews, but they were the best of a bunch, and you just needed someone, anyone! otherwise, you'd lose the headcount. As Rob Cross and colleagues fascinating research showed, whether someone is experienced as an Energizer vs. a De-Energizer was THE NUMBER ONE PREDICTOR of someone's impact and standing in an organization. Quarter 2, Data Market Report is out!! Are we seeing any momentum in the market?! In short, yes. A few key headliners for you: 🚀 In October we saw layoff’s, redundancies & mass applications to job adverts (200+), with low conversion rates to interviews e.g. 3 interviews out of 200 applicants. 🚀 We saw a sizeable decrease in contract jobs (any contract opportunity is good right now whether it be 3 months or 24 months), with a 12% decrease in daily rates compared to Q2 2022. 🚀 Hiring processes were incredibly sticky and drawn out... extra interview stages being introduced, with crazy timelines between for feedback/next interviews confirmed. 🚀 Contractors in the market are relaxing a little bit more knowing that the market will pick up in Q3 2024. 🚀 Word on the street is companies are gearing up to up to mass hire come late February to early March. 🚀 Those who are investing in AI are putting the correct measures in place, allocating budget & bringing on board the right advisory resources to ensure ethics are in place before anything happens. 🚀 If everyone plans on hiring for the similar skill sets, at the same time, what happens?
