Compared to colleagues in more corporate and senior roles, frontline and entry-level employees lack access to mentorship, which in turn hinders their ability to advance in a company. Inditex (ZARA) first piloted an employee mentorship and training program called SALTA in 2008. SALTA, meaning “JUMP” or “LEAP” in Spanish, has since reached 17 countries around the world. The program offered participants a way to leap into their future by offering retail-specific training and mentorship to community members facing barriers to employment. Yesterday I had a chance to attend MF Brands Youth Academy conference in Stockholm, led by the inspiring growth expert & speaker Anssi Rantanen. The conference emphasized how adopting a growth mindset can transform both personal and professional lives. I learnt that: 🔵Psychological Safety is the key ingredient of high performing teams 🔵 The Start, Stop, Continue retrospective is a very simple but very effective framework to implement in daily work 🔵 Growth mindset believes that abilities can be developed through effort & learning, while a fixed mindset believes abilities are unchangeable 🔵the most important motto connected to Growth Mindset is - “Feedback is a gift”.
