Convinced that every class in a Catholic school should be taught from a Catholic worldview? Need resources, ideas, staff buy-in, or just a place to start? #MakingEveryClassCatholic is what I do! Let's get started.
You know what would be a fun and informative assignment? Trying to estimate the economic value of the contributions of Catholic religious sisters to health care (or you could choose another field). You could set some parameters. E.g., within geographical location X (maybe your home city, county, state or province), from year YYYY to ZZZZ. What curricular outcomes could you hit with this in subjects like history, math, social studies, or health? #MakingEveryClassCatholic
Catholic nuns played a pivotal role in shaping America's healthcare system by founding nearly 500 hospitals across the United States between 1866 and 1926. Their dedication and service laid the foundation for modern medical care and compassionate treatment. 🏥✨ Their work inspires our community to continue fostering innovation in medicine and science. Understanding how patients see and experience care is fundamental to quality, person-centred care and can help us think about how we shift practices, services and systems. Interesting blog from Dr Claudia Virdun RN, PhD. Thanks RePaDD for sharing!
Meet our Member: Dr Claudia Virdun RN, PhD, Senior Lecturer Palliative and End-of-Life Care, Flinders University In this blog, Claudia shares her research, what she’s working on and a little about her life outside of research, including why her research area piqued her interest. "I saw excellent care experiences, but I also saw care experiences that were fragmented and that did not enable patients and families the best care that we know is possible. This concerned me and I wanted to better understand why inpatient palliative care was so variable." Read the full blog here >> https://lnkd.in/gdXgd-aV #palliativecare #endoflifecare #meetourmember

🚨 NEW BLOG! 🚨 A Comparison of Telehealth and In-Person Therapy at College Counseling Center's "Clients, on average, experienced similar levels of improvement across all service modalities. While clients who attended video appointments demonstrated slightly lower rates of change, they ended treatment with similar levels of distress between all modes. College counseling center staff should be assured that they are delivering equally effective treatment outcomes, on average, to students in both video and in-person modes of care."
