This week, NIAXO celebrated turning 4 years old and time has certainly flown. Anniversaries provide a time to reflect on where we have come from as well as where we are heading.   NIAXO was created by four directors, tired of failed corporate innovation, driven to deliver innovative solutions and technical advances in an #agile manner.   We hit the ground running in 2019 with immediate project work for the Ministry of Justice UK. By early 2020, we had been commissioned through Accelerated Capability Environment (ACE) for the UK Home Office to build the data science platform used by the #JointBiosecurityCentre analysts working on HM Government's response to Covid. The platform hosted over 10,000 assured sources, holding over 30Tb of data, enabling analytic services for hundreds of users from numerous user groups, in a secure manner. As an agile, fully independent company, we were able to deliver an MVP within 6 weeks and scale from 4 to 70 valued, expert personnel within 12 months. Since those heady early days we have: - Established a permanent team of talented personnel - Delivered multiple innovative data and security orientated projects on behalf of Public and Private sector clients - Become Elastic partners with a certified team delivering organisation-wide transformations and unstructured data projects - Established fantastic partnerships with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and key Microsoft stakeholders - Won 3 funded innovation projects through Defence and Security Accelerator - Gained #CyberEssentialsPlus and #SilverMilitaryCovenant status. - Created an Academy with The CPD Certification Service accredited courses. - Coauthored and delivered a UNESCO report in Paris. - Provided STEM Ambassadors support to local schools and mentorship as part of the #GEEP programme in partnership with Royal Academy of Engineering and Windsor Fellowship.  - Enjoyed scaling support from the following programmes: Royal Academy of Engineering's #ShottScaleUpAccelerator, the Help to Grow programme, Innovate UK's Edge programme and most recently the Grow London programme   Looking forward to the year ahead, we are focussing on building our team, our key achievement, we will also continue to develop and expand cutting edge technology solutions either via our valued partner services or through our Innovation projects - and of course, we will be showcasing all of this DSEI next week. #innovationtoinsight #innovativetechnology #reflectandlearn #timetocelebrate #dsei2023 #ourstory

#Allies and strategic #partnerships are trendy in #hightech marketing. “They do better in power point presentations than on the street”, says Geoffrey Moore in “Crossing the Chasm”. But he also gives examples where alliances were hugely #powerful and have moved mountains of capital. “The complexities of developing and maintaining such strategic alliances in the field, … are sufficient to make even the most #experienced #organisations #struggle.” AND most importantly: “Alliances #accelerate the #formation of whole product #infrastructure.” In my beautiful painting you get an idea what is going on in the higher education #HEI realm in the EU. Note the one alliance of alliances that is used to unify best practices within a #community of #practice, the Uni next door that is in another alliance and those that are specialized in mobility. In the vibrant city of Berlin, August '22, I had the privilege of attending the Industry 4 Digital Transformation workshop – an experience that has left a profound impact. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Nada Sharaf and Dr. Maggie Mashaly for their enlightening contributions. Here's a glimpse of the key insights I gathered during this transformative journey: 📊 **Unlocking Big Data Mastery**: The workshop equipped me with the knowledge and tools to effectively harness the power of Big Data for well-informed decision-making. In today's data-centric landscape, this skill is nothing short of a superpower. 🌟 **Embracing Agility as a Virtue**: The workshop underscored the paramount importance of agility and adaptability in industries marked by rapid evolution. It's a reminder that staying agile is not just an advantage; it's a survival strategy. 🚀 **Gaining the Competitive Edge**: Armed with the fusion of Big Data and Digital Transformation strategies, I've gained a distinct advantage that empowers me to spearhead innovation and efficiency in my professional domain. I really like the concept of micro-credentials, the success of which I believe depends heavily on digital credential infrastructure. However, there are many other challenges and I am beginning to become more pessimistic about their outlook. I look forward to participating in a session with Ildiko Mazar and getting her opinions on these challenges.

EDLP, Month 1/3. There are plenty of challenges in healthcare. From staffing issues, to access limitations, silos within the industry, and many more … This program shed light on some things we can tackle with the right digital tools and mindset. Finding ways to work together, to potentially overcome them too. 💡Snippets of Week 1: 1. Have a vision that matters. - One doesn’t necessarily need deep tech expertise, having tech allies and the know-how to make it real can be sufficient. - But, you need to understand tech enough to articulate that vision. 2. What is a digital strategy? - How can we create and capture value, and what does that mean for the people who use our services? - Great case study on Apollo Hospitals and all the innovations they've implemented. 3. Setting the right tone at the top is essential. - Ultimately, everyone should be empowered to become their own best version of themselves. - Realize that I am very lucky to be working with leaders that acknowledge this, either in hospital or other professional domains! 4. Serendipity. - If you have a good idea - build it! - When the foundations are in place, the right people to grow your idea and share your vision will come 🌳 - (Remember: The Law of Attraction and “Curiosity is like hunger.”) 5. Social and ethical implications of living in a digital world. - How digital offerings may require a whole paradigm shift at every level of society. - We all need to re-evaluate our deep-seated notions of what is acceptable, and examine underlying morals that underpin our normative assumptions of what is “good” or “bad”. - The governance of these developments shall have to be able to reflect this evolution. - Or else legal and political accountability will be left outpaced. 6. Cybersecurity. - And how despite our best efforts, the idea that we can protect data in absolute terms can be quite an illusion… - But that shouldn’t stop us from mitigating risks where possible. And lots more! Had a fantastic time meeting new people. Really gained a lot from the immersive learning experience.
