Let’s get to know Apple Vision Pro

This is probably one of the more insightful videos on how vision pro or other potential AR/VR headsets can offer useful functionality to the users subject to areas of use and potential productivity gains or simply entertainment value. The video is a little long but worth watching. https://lnkd.in/egfh_ztM I really like the way Vision Pro is linked to other apple devices (MacBook, iPhone , … ) and the “Million apps being available on day one” is a great promise made by apple. The hand based interaction with the environment seems to become standard in new headsets (Meta Oculus 3 included). This removes the burden of carrying and using a hand or finger based pointing device. Hand tracked interaction using single or double hand pinch and drag, (finger) point and click and similar actions seem to be used by many SDKs supporting the headsets. The user still needs to learn new gestures but they seem to be simple enough to pick up. My take on this is that, the development is going on at some speed to make Vision Pro practical and useful to the user. What I am less sure about is the impact of wearing the headset for long hours and dis-orientation (even with pass-through). Notwithstanding that, it is a great video to watch. Opinions are entirely mine.
