“They’re not alone, we’re here to help.”
Geoff Toovey knows the game of Rugby League inside out; as player, coach, and now mentor to the next generation.
A northern beaches local, Tooves played 286 games for Manly in an illustrious career. A tough as nails competitor, and premiership winning captain, Geoff also played 15 NSW State of Origin games, and was an Australian Kangaroo representative. He also coached Manly and took the team to the 2013 grand final.
Now, Geoff is passing on his knowledge to help nurture the next generation of Sea Eagles players, developing them on and off the football field.
Geoff and the team recognise that teenage athletes in a high-performance sporting environment need lots of support. They’re coaching technical skills, nutrition, prehab and rehab; but just as importantly mental resilience, education and employment, social skills and time management. These are the holistic life skills required to nurture the next generation of Sea Eagles.
We’re aiming to help these young athletes be the best they can be, regardless of their eventual career paths. As a Sea Eagles fan, you can play your part. Help nurture the next generation by making a tax-deductible donation to the Sea Eagles Foundation. Watch them soar with the Sea Eagles.
