Excited to share information about OpenAI's latest innovation, the Sora Diffusion Transformer (DiT)! This cutting-edge generative AI model creates high-definition videos from text prompts by combining diffusion models and transformers. Diffusion models iteratively refine noisy images into clear ones, while transformers excel at processing and understanding text. DiT processes text input to generate a latent representation, guiding the diffusion process to create an image that matches the text prompt. Trained on a vast dataset of image-text pairs, DiT integrates text and visual data using maximum likelihood and adversarial training techniques to minimize output errors. Starting with random noise, the model iteratively denoises it to generate video frames. I’ve always been amazed by image infilling and out-filling, where AI helps in erasing and replacing items in images with plausible data. But imagine going a step further by replacing it with what was actually there! This innovative technique requires at least three photographs and employs stable diffusion to unveil the obscured reality, adjusting for orientation, lighting, and camera distortion to perfectly fill in the gaps or extend the scene's edges.
