Every once in a while, work delivers an unforgettable experience. For the past couple of years, I’ve designed the digital guide for the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF). This year, my wife and I attended a screening but had no idea what we were in for! We bumped into the legendary Edward James Olmos (founder of LALIFF) in the lobby and then headed into the theater to watch the documentary "Las Amazons de Yaxunah." However, we didn't just "watch the movie"—we experienced it! We laughed, we cried...we clenched our fists. The director, crew, and entire cast from Yaxunah, a small Maya community in Yucatan, Mexico, were in attendance for the amazing Q&A. This is what film festivals are all about. Easily a top 10 cinematic experience for me! Watch the trailer here: https://lnkd.in/dgyJQABi Latino Film Institute, ESPN, Axel W.
