Here at WGM, our ultimate goal is to strengthen communities for a resilient future through insightful design. That's why we've spent the better part of a year collaborating with Broadwater County and the Community Technical Assistance Program (CTAP) to draft an amendment to the county's Growth Policy. What is a growth policy? It's an official guide based on common vision for managing change in communities. As Broadwater County grows, it aims to develop a Growth Policy that aligns with its vision of preserving its unique rural character and agricultural lands while embracing the potential benefits of growth. This amendment focuses on inclusion of a future land use map. With the draft future land use plan/map, the community is charting a course that honors their values and sets the stage for a prosperous future. As the policy moves toward the adoption process, Broadwater County residents, local and state agencies, and other stakeholders are providing final comments for consideration. We're excited to see how this plan strengthens Broadwater County for a resilient future.

Can’t believe I ran into Ryan Miller from Land Science at the Battelle Conference this week. Ryan and I first spoke back in 2016, and I helped him find his position at Land Sciences. Now 8 years later he is a Director leading their U.S. business development team. I couldn’t be happier for him.
