Ooh, just viewed the latest Nationwide advert, and it's quite cheeky, playfully discussing the importance of keeping branches open. Overall I was impressed. Having experience in retail banking, I hold hope for such initiatives but approach them with a hint of scepticism. Let's hope that longterm actions follow this talk. 🏦🤞 #Nationwide #OpenBranches #ProfessionalOpinion" https://lnkd.in/eKc3zkbC

An excellent article published in Crain's Detroit Business on March 7th highlighted how banking has changed. With fewer and fewer branches across the country, it amplifies the value of having an effective and efficient process in place. With the support of Lenderful Solutions, you can continue to give your customers/members the personalized service they have come to expect. Taking a decentralized approach to lending, banks/credit unions can still maintain a consistent and centralized lending process. If you think we’re not in the middle of war for the survival of community banking, you’re not paying attention. start by reading this. “America has 4,700 banks, which is way too many, and the lesson of last spring — that big banks are safe and small ones aren’t — was directionally true, even if it lacked nuance.” We’re fighting Washington ideologues, the media and Wall Street elites. The big banks are basically wards of the government and they are AN enemy, among others. Wake up, community bankers. Get in the fight. All we have is each other. https://lnkd.in/gr2v_eGG
