NRW - AWT in Düsseldorf The Foreign Trade Day NRW 2023 (#AWT23) - organized by the #IHKs from North-Rhine-Westfalia - brought together about 1,000 participants from companies and politics to address current topics and challenges for companies doing business abroad under the motto “International – Sustainable – Successful”. I was pleased to be part at this event on behalf of the Singaporean-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce / AHK Singapur and - as part of the worldwide network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK) - to consult companies on doing business and business opportunities in #Singapore. Singapore is the economic center of Southeast Asia, #ASEAN a region with more than 650 million inhabitants and an average economic growth of usually about 5%. The port of Israel - arriving to Singapore as well! We were pleased to host Singapore's ambassador to Israel, Mr. Ian Mak, who came to visit the port with the aim of promoting the strategic cooperation between the port and Singapore, in the areas of innovation, acceleration and joint investments in start-up companies.   The meeting was attended by the chairman of the port, Shaul Schneider, the acting CEO of the port, Eli Bar Yossef, and the chief innovation officer, roy avrahami. This is an important meeting in the expansion of the activity of our innovation array, overseas as well, as part of which we have already established innovation embassies in New York, New Jersey, Barcelona, Florida, the port of Santos in Brazil, the port of Thessaloniki in Greece, and we are working on more and more new places that will lead to joint and exciting successes.
