Last week, we presented original research at the HIMSS Virginia Chapter 2024 Data and Analytics Symposium! We were thrilled to see the interest and engagement our research received. HIMSS brought together healthcare innovators to explore data-driven solutions for enhancing patient care and improving healthcare outcomes, which matters a great deal to us here at Leafwell. Our team presented findings from our latest research on utilizing advanced data analytics in cannabis healthcare, which you can read about here: https://lnkd.in/gv-J-wN2 A special thanks to Dr. Aaron Spaulding, PhD, from the Mayo Clinic, whose keynote address on healthcare quality and value perfectly complemented the themes of our research. Thank you to all the symposium participants and the organizers for an incredible event. If you missed us at HIMSS, catch Mitchell L. Doucette, PhD, MS, presenting at CannMed Events this week: https://lnkd.in/g6F8knA3 #HIMSS #HealthcareInnovation #DataAnalytics #CannabisHealthcare #CannMed #CannabisResearch

Specializing in Crafting Dependable Solutions for Clients | Expert in Resilient and Scalable Systems
Had a wonderful time (as always) at the Oregon Bioscience Incubator and OTRADI monthly meetup last night. It was an especially informative session thanks to the panel discussion on Bioethics and Healthcare Decisions. A very engaged and thoughtful discussion with doctors Ruchi Thanawala, Murtaza Batla and William Hersh, MD. A key observation for me was the challenge practitioners face today as patients (admirably) do research to be better informed. In today's information age, practitioners encounter three main types of information when interacting with patients: * Information - True facts * Misinformation - Well-intentioned, but incorrect information * Disinformation - False facts spread on purpose I imagine it is especially challenging here in the U.S. where we are one of just two countries which allow direct-to-consumer drug ads on t.v. and other media. Do the people who see those ads critically evaluate them, comparing the improvements over a placebo? Add to that the misinformation and disinformation on the web and I can see it straining the ability of the provider to do the best for their patient. While the interplay of information trio is not unique to healthcare, its direct impact on patient health significantly heightens the challenge.

For an early-stage #biotech data readouts carry big risks and potential rewards. Whether providing proof of concept, proving safety and tolerability, or clearing the way for final regulatory approval, clinical trial readouts are critical de-risking events. Communicating a clear, consistent message to your audiences is crucial to success, no matter what the data show. Read my step-by-step guide in MedCity News on how to effectively leverage clinical trial readouts. bit.ly/3SzSdJC

Founder & President of CliniLink Health & MindLeaf Technologies | Patient Engagement and Compliance Expert | Determined to Change the Future of Clinical Trial Participation | Weekend Photographer
Are you curious about how data is gathered in clinical trials, including decentralized trials? At CliniLink Health, our process begins when patients and volunteers opt to participate in our studies. We meticulously collect and analyze data from their enrollment through every trial phase. At CliniLink Health, our detailed approach involves gathering data at various stages, from target and recruiting phases to pre-marketing, and through patient engagement during trials. This data is not just crucial, it's the lifeblood of our research. It's what allows us to pinpoint areas of focus for sponsors, such as understanding why Site A experiences more dropouts compared to Site B, despite being in the same geographic area. Join CliniLink Health and contribute to groundbreaking medical research. Your participation drives scientific advancements and shapes the future of healthcare. Be a catalyst for change!
