As any high-school Physics student learns, the Planet Earth is a closed system. Gravity keeps Earth's atmosphere tightly held like how the glass of a snowglobe contains water within it. Therefore, any conversion of chemical potential energy to thermodynamic kinetic energy increases the total heat of the system. Every space exploration vehicle, rocket fired, bomb detonated, missile launched and bullet fired is increasing the total heat of our Planet Earth's atmosphere gasses. That is called Global Warming. If we do not act swiftly to pursue World Peace, our violence, international acts of aggression, drone launches and war will end all life on Planet Earth by melting the Earth's glaciers and eliminating all remaining farmable land. With China security services referenced in the current campaign against "vulnerable infrastructure," I feel we are living in a movie. However, in our case we have the ability to subdue most of these most captive threats.... 1----> From a personal life perspective.... STAY UPDATED on most recent firmware and software updates. Or even if you have an "older" "unsupported" router... buy a new one... I know its easier to swallow just sticking with what you have "because it works" but if its unsupported, you are Vulnerable--> I can make some suggestions if you are interested!! 2----> Do not use the same password for everything!! I know it sounds like a silly comment, but bad actors are savvy. In addition, you should also not just adjust each password by one character. Its not rocket science to add an ! or 1,2,3,4 to your password; threat actors know that.... Change them, make them challenging (even for you); store them in a secured keychain if you are not able to remember. 3---->When signing up for web services like disney+, hulu, etc; use multiple aliases.... This removes the need for you to create different email handles to sign up with; but will forward the information to your regular email address. For example adam.winkled+@gmail.com will forward to my regular email address, but if disney ever gets compromised I know I only have to change that email handle. If you need support, let me know I can send you a walkthrough. 4----> From a Business Continuity perspective--- There are a plethora of platforms that are out there to give vulnerability assessments, IOT Discovery, and lockdown the Crown Jewels. Don't just go for the "cheapest" or "free with OS" options, because "free" will only get you so far. Do your due diligence, investigate the capabilities, and invest in the infrastructure of your company. In the case of security, especially with China targeting what they are, investing now will hands down SAVE in the future!
