During an interview process, no news is bad news. Companies move fast on candidates they like, all other candidates that match the hiring profile will be put on ice until they fill the position. Momentum is telling, so don't slow things down for opportunities you have to chase down. Remember, time kills all deals. #jobhunting #jobsearch #interviewtips #interviewing #interviewprocess

To my hiring managers reading this... You need to streamline your interview process! 𝗧𝗼𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 places have 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 interview stages. This can hinder your chances of getting the best candidate for the role. Any more than 2 stages, the candidate may get disengaged and you’ll find that the top talent will be snatched up for another opportunity. So, slice the process down to 2 stages max. And if you have someone who ticks all the boxes, don’t hesitate! How many stages have you got in place right now? Do you agree with me? #Interview #Hiring #RecruitmentAdvice

Ongoing talks with fellow professionals underscore a clear trend: interview processes and hiring decisions are taking longer than ever before. If you're in the game for a new gig, here's how to help speed up the process: 💠 Be lightning quick in replying to any messages from the employer or recruiter. 💠 Show some email finesse when drafting emails to hiring managers. 💠 Get your references on the same page timing-wise. 💠 Pinpoint suitable interview availability for the next two weeks. 💠 Communicate your active engagement in the interview process and enthusiasm for a prompt offer. 💠 During negotiations make sure you fight for what you're worth, but don't be greedy. Take control and elevate your job search and interview strategy. 💼🚀 #careersuccess #jobsearchtips

A common theme I see in job seekers is that they want to know everything they can about a job before committing to an interview. I understand wanting to feel prepared. I understand not wanting to 'waste anyone's time' (including your own). I understand that you want to understand what you're interviewing for. But let me ask you this: What if you bring something to the table they didn't know they needed? What if you impress a company and they create a role for you? What if the people working at the company can better answer your questions about culture and what it's like to work there than I can as a recruiter? Here is my advice: Stop looking for reasons to say "no" and go on the dang interview. Talk to the hiring managers and team. Spell out what you want and take the time to learn about what they are looking for. Give yourself an opportunity to find out of there is synergy. You can always withdraw yourself as a candidate if you don't like what a company has to say, but you'll never know if you don't experience it for yourself. #Recruiting

TIP FOR JOB SEEKERS The little things go a long way! Something I've done during every interview process I've been a part of... Ahead of an interview (usually the evening before), I've connected with the interviewer on LinkedIn and sent them an introductory message. It's very short and sweet, something along the lines of: "𝘏𝘦𝘺 [𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦], 𝘏𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬 𝘴𝘰 𝘧𝘢𝘳! 𝘐 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘸 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 [𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘵 𝘫𝘰𝘣 𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘭𝘦] 𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 [𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦] 𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴. 𝘏𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘴 𝘑𝘰𝘴𝘩" This doesn't guarantee that you'll get the job. All I can say is that I've never had a negative response from it. Good manners and a bit of enthusiasm never hurt anyone! #recruiter #recruiting #recruiters #recruitment #hiring #interview #interviews

If you get an #interview request, you're perfectly qualified for the position. A hiring manager isn't going to waste 45-60 minutes talking to you if they think you can't do the job. Walk into that interview with #confidence knowing that you're already considered qualified! Will you get questions about your #qualifications? Absolutely! But that's to make sure you're the same person you claim to be on paper. The interview is more about #culturalfit – making sure you'll be a good addition to the team dynamic. #interviewtips #jobsearch #jobhunt #jobsearchtips

Hiring Managers/Decision Makers: this one is for you! Even if you feel like you have “the one” after 1-2 interviews, it’s not a bad idea to bring a few top candidates along through the entire process before actually making a decision/offer. There’s so many variables and moving parts in today’s job market…it’s in your best interest to evaluate all options and get the opinions of trusted colleagues in the process as well. Candidates take other opportunities at the blink of an eye, accept counter offers, completely flake or disappear from interview processes, etc. Would you rather start the interview and search process from scratch after weeks of time and effort, or have multiple options to evaluate from the beginning before putting all your eggs in one basket? #foodforthought #recruiterspov #jobsearch #interviews #interviewtips #interviewprocess #recruiters #RecruiterLife #Headhunter
