✨ A New Chapter in My Career! ✨ This week, I started my internship at L'Oréal, with the La Roche Posay brand, and from day one, I realized this place is a dream come true. The office in Levallois is breathtaking: elegant like a luxury hotel, with a spacious coffee shop on the terrace, a restaurant offering a diverse menu, and a gym on a docked boat. Every morning here starts with inspiration. ☕️🍽️⚓️ I never thought such a work environment could exist! The workspace is meticulously designed: numerous meeting rooms, state-of-the-art equipment, and, of course, cosmetics everywhere. My colleagues are constantly buzzing around, testing, creating, and presenting—this place is alive with activity. 🖥️💡 I am particularly impressed by my team. Each member is incredibly creative, and their ideas flow like a fountain. I can feel my own brain working faster, eager to come up with a groundbreaking idea; it feels like any moment now, I might invent a product that changes the world. I feel a great responsibility and am ready to put in all my efforts to live up to the trust placed in me. I know there’s so much I don’t know, and there will be many trials and errors, learning experiences, and projects that initially seem impossible. Concluding my 6-month internship at Lancôme TRAPAC feels like coming down from a roller coaster. The ride has been full of excitement, challenges, introspection, and, of course, happiness. As I gained knowledge of the travel retail market, I was so impressed by how it creates unique experiences for the consumers and how L'Oréal conquers it as the 6th continent. I'm glad that I had the chance to be in this fast-changing environment, as well as to understand and learn to live with the changes. I would not be able to get my feet on the ground safely without my team, to whom I would like to express my gratitude for their support in my daily work and in my long-term career development. I was given plenty of opportunities to explore the industry and the channels, to interact with stakeholders, and to see my insights bring a positive influence to the work of my colleagues. This helped me to take on multiple perspectives at work, nourishing my communication skills and critical thinking skills. At the same time, assisting in media and CRM campaigns allowed me to discover my interest in consumer behaviors and data. It's exhilarating for me to observe consumers' actual actions in the designed user journeys, which tells a rich story with the power of data. Empowered by this passion and the experience I've obtained in this internship, I'm ready to embrace the challenges in the new chapter of my career path. Ever been rejected by your dream job on New Year's while celebrating? 👀 LVMH was the first company I applied to, for an internship. The requirements were pretty straightforward: 1. Position: Project Management Intern 2. Department: Creative Team 3. Division: Wine & Spirits 4. Job: Entry-level I went through several rounds of interviews, feeling confident that I had the job. I eagerly waited for the offer letter, already mentally preparing for the role 💪🏻 However, on January 1st, while celebrating the New Year, I received a rejection notification. Initially, I thought it was a mistake, perhaps an automated message sent in error. But after a conversation with the manager, I learned it was true: I was rejected 😭 Feeling disheartened, I decided to change my approach! ➡️ Instead of fixating on specific positions that I felt I was perfect for, I started applying broadly. I looked for roles that I genuinely loved, even if I didn't perfectly fit the job description This point is: the internship search process is a numbers game! I've learnt that I'd have a better chance at landing one if you apply to a 50 of those than narrowing it down to 5 in the early stages ♥️ What do you think? PS. This is where we can start drawing meaning out of "freedom and encouragement" in the early teens or pre teens. Certain areas of our cognitive brain undergo massive changes through these years wherein if we are encouraged in the direction we are interested in, the creative calibre massively shoots. However, if not catered to properly or nurtured, it can begin to rot or become undermined. In our society, we come across thousands of examples wherein kids steer in the opposite direction from their parents and the resulting clashes lead to tense/unproductive parent-child equations. What parents fail to recognize here is that their need to see a part of themselves in their child is the exact glitch in the thought process. If they steer along with the flow and not against it, that is where the dynamic and the possible consequences of it start becoming fruitful! #MOM #marketing #campaigns #art

I started working in luxury fashion 5 weeks ago… And yet I had close to zero industry experience beforehand. ❌ No internships running around London with Dior bags on the tube ❌ No fashion TikTok and Instagram account with 50K followers ❌ No parental connections to the industry But I did have: ✔️ Experience in leadership at a growing startup ✔️ My personal brand that showed the ability to create communities Without either of those two things, I would NOT have my current job. Fashion is such a competitive industry and breaking in the conventional way is not going to work for everyone. Instead figure out how you can side step into the field. ~ Start at a local company ~ Start in a job role that you want to be in, but in a less competitive field ~ Start building your personal brand that relates to the industry you want to be in, even if you’re not working in it No job has to be your dream job.
