Had a great conversation of gitops, design, and Kubernetes security with Kat Morgan and Michael Levan. Thanks for all the great content and presentation! 👏. My takeaway: 🔐 Having a source control is a way to have the desire state of the Kubernetes cluster 🧰 There is a fine line between using serverless of cloud provider and leaving the open source tools. Using Fargate will not allow you to use tools such as Istio or Prometheus 🚀 Integrate TDD within your infra to validate your security by adding it to your CI/CD pipeline

Hello, On August 10, 2023, HashiCorp announced a change of license for its products, including Terraform. After ~9 years of Terraform being open source under the MPL v2 license, it was to move under a non-open source BSL v1. 1 license, starting from the next (1.6) version. I think the alternative tools to Terraform, since Terraform is no longer open source, are Ansible and Pulumi because they are still open source. Additionally, you can consider AWS CloudFormation and Google Cloud Deployment Manager. There are also newer tools like SST Serverless Stack (sst.dev) and Wing Language (winglang.io). However, in the end, there is no need to worry because Terraform has forked a new project named OpenTF, which is open source. #terraform #hashicorp #pulumi #serverlessstack #SST #ansible #awscloudformation #googleclouddeploymentmanager #wing

Rethinking infrastructure as code from scratch (so, check out atmos!). The current state of IaC may be toppling under the weight of increasingly complex cloud resources and services. A member of the ECS team argues that new cloud services (and the defined relationships between resources) will only get more complex. He argues tools like Winglang and System Initiative are headed in the right direction, abstracting away complexity and focusing on a declarative model. The article is a deep dive on some proposed solutions, and provides a hypothetical CDK implementation. I'd also like to throw in our hat for Atmos, which is exactly this for Terraform. https://lnkd.in/gYec_rP6

I just finished this awesome course on MLOps, I find it quite impressive how cloud services are designed to integrate such powerful tools like FastApi, docker, kubernetes, locust etc. through github actions. Hope to apply this knowledge soon on real life projects.

🚀 Just deployed my own version of the popular 2048 game on AWS Elastic Beanstalk! 🐳 Started by crafting a Dockerfile for the 2048 game, configuring it with necessary ports and dependencies. After building it locally in Docker, I was thrilled to take it a step further. 🌐 Leveraged the power of AWS Elastic Beanstalk to seamlessly deploy my Dockerized game onto the cloud. Once the environment was up and running, Elastic Beanstalk generated a unique domain name for my app. It's incredible to see how Docker and Elastic Beanstalk collaborated to make this deployment smooth and hassle-free!

Hello folks, I have successfully learned and completed the course 'Intro to Docker'.The course was on the basics of Docker. The related topics are containers, cloudcomputing . Le Wagon has designed this hands on lab course very well. For the people who are using Docker, Inc for the first time, for them this course is very well designed and structured . #docker #dockercontainer #dockerproducts #cloud #cloudcomputing

I've containerized my simple portfolio using Docker, making it easy to deploy and manage. This allows me to test and showcase my projects locally before deploying to the cloud. Why Docker? Isolation: Each project runs in its own container. Portability: Easily share and run my portfolio on different machines. Efficiency: Quick and lightweight compared to traditional VMs. 🙏 Special thanks to the amazing Docker community for the resources and tutorials that helped me make this project a reality. And thanks to Raghav Pal for clearing my doubts from his YouTube channel🙌 #docker #dockercontainer #dockerhub #awscloud #ubuntu

AWS ECR (Elastic Container Registry) is your secure vault for Docker images in the AWS cloud. It lets you store, manage, and deploy container images privately. This demo showcased a basic workflow: Pull: I retrieved the grafana/loki image from Docker Hub. Authenticate: I logged in to ECR using AWS credentials. Push: I uploaded the image to a newly created ECR repository
