I agree with most of the background, but not the analysis - apologies for glazing over at some point and stopping reading. 1) lethal Company and other small games have seen high ROI, 2) continuing shift in platforms to mobile, 3) continuing shift in the gap between average and high end experiences, 4) pubs need to shift to the ship early/ ship often model instead of sinking hundreds of man years into a single release, 5) current live services are a stop on the way towards SaaS games with infrastructure shared across multiple titles
