Celebration Coach: I help business owners stop thinking about the business they want and start building it.
The question of 4-day work weeks is interesting and will have to be addressed by each company. Here are the core values of a few companies: AT&T * Live true. * Think big. * Pursue excellence. * Be there. * Stand for equality. * Make a difference. Bristol Myers Squib * Urgency * Accountability * Innovation * Passion * Inclusion Deloitte * Lead the way * Serve with integrity * Take care of each other * Foster inclusion * Collaborate for measurable impact The questions could be: - Would a 4-day work week reflect and support those core values? - How could the company maintain or even elevate the core values in the client and employee experience with a 4-day work week? - How could those core values be used as drivers to make an effective 4-day work week possible? Obviously, each company will have different answers but solutions are possible. 4-day work weeks, remote work and other changes to the workplace will require creativity and new perspectives. Being grounded in your core values will help in finding a solution that works.
Nearly 9 in 10 employees want a four-day work week. And 46% of employees are willing to sacrifice socialization and relationships with colleagues for a four-day workweek. But putting a shorter work week above colleague relationships can impact company culture. #4DayWorkWeek #FlexibleWorking #WorkLifeBalance https://lnkd.in/gvmMf5eE

Why a Six-Day Workweek Could Be a Game-Changer I just read about Greece rolling out a six-day workweek. At first, it might sound intense, but let's think about the potential upsides. More Productivity: Extra workdays can mean getting more done and pushing our businesses forward. Skill Building: More time at work means more chances to learn and grow. Team Bonding: Spending more time together can really strengthen team spirit and collaboration. Of course, balance is key. It's all about making sure there's support for everyone to handle the extra load without burning out. Could a six-day workweek work for us too? #WorkLifeBalance #ProductivityBoost #Meaningfulwork https://lnkd.in/gSg2P4xQ

📢📢📢 🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷 Greece Implements 6-Day Work Week: Implications for the Future of Work! Greece has recently started implementing a 6-day work week for certain companies, aiming to boost productivity and employment within the country. This regulation, which came into effect on July 1, contrasts sharply with the global trend of companies adopting a 4-day work week. As HR professionals, it’s crucial for us to stay informed about such developments. Here are some key points to consider: 1. Productivity and Economic Growth: Proponents argue that a 6-day work week could boost productivity and economic output, helping businesses recover faster from economic downturns. 2. Employee Well-being: Opponents raise concerns about the potential negative impact on employee health, work-life balance, and overall job satisfaction. 3. Global Trends: With countries like Sweden and Iceland experimenting with shorter work weeks, the move by Greece is particularly interesting and contrasts sharply with these trends. 4. Adaptability and Flexibility: In an era where remote and flexible working arrangements are becoming the norm, how would a 6-day work week fit into this new landscape? Could Canada adopt a similar approach? What would be the potential benefits and challenges of introducing a 6-day work week in our country 🇨🇦 ? #HumanResources #WorkWeek #HR #Canada #Greece #WorkLifeBalance #FutureOfWork

Spain is embarking on a groundbreaking national trial of the four-day work week, seeking to explore its potential benefits for both companies and employees. The pandemic has prompted businesses to rethink work-life balance, adopting a 32-hour workweek while finding innovative ways to maintain productivity. This trial, driven by Más País, not only aims to provide more leisure time but also reduce commutes and support a more flexible work environment. It's a promising step towards a better work-life equilibrium and a chance to redefine our post-pandemic world. 🚨 Greece Introduces Six-Day Work Week: A Step Backwards? 🚨 Last week, Greece hit the headlines by becoming the first EU country to introduce a six-day work week. Critics argue this signals the end of the five-day work week, as it allows employers to mandate a sixth day of labor. To me this feels like a step backwards. Research shows that increasing hours can actually hurt productivity. The rise of four-day work weeks globally has shown improved productivity and employee morale. How do you create and importantly maintain your boundaries around the work-life balance? Let’s prioritize good boundaries to enhance productivity and well-being. #WorkLifeBalance #FourDayWeek #FlexibleWorking #ProductivityMatters
