I've known Max Cook for over a decade now! 💯 I met Max when I sold garbage contracts door-to-door in the Washington DC/northern Virginia area. He was my Sales Team Lead. After a few weeks on the doors, I experienced my first zero-day. No sales. 0️⃣ It was rough. I definitely got down on myself and struggled to regain momentum. Anyone who has done D2D sales in hot muggy weather knows how miserable it can be. Being the leader that he is, Max took valuable time out of his day and helped me work on my approach. He hyped me up and shared how to stay focused. The most impactful advice he gave me that day was to be myself. "Dude. Just be you. You're awesome." I always remind myself of this day on the doors with him when life gets tough and I'm dealing with rejection.
