This article is about research in brain functioning. My conclusion: The brain is much like an ensemble (band, choir, orchestra) in which the members can be synchromized with a single source, such as the conductor. Or the members can be sychronized with the input that is in their immediate vicinity. The result of the latter is that multiple smaller ensembles develop, each taking their own tempo, style, expression, etc. RhythmBee teaches students to acquire those musical details from that single source so that their performance is truly unified. This is a great time of year to order any of our great products. Just inquire at buzzy@rhythmbee.com or browse at https://www.rhythmbee.com/ . https://lnkd.in/gaTNzTXG

Once again, TED CONFERENCES didn't disappoint me. I enjoyed listening to it. I'd like to share my thoughts; surely the relationship between art and technology represents a dynamic and complex interaction in the modern art world. With the rapid advancement of technology, artists have gone beyond traditional forms of expression and embraced new media and digital tools. Digital art has enabled artists to utilize technologies such as computer graphics, virtual reality, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence in creating their works, expanding the boundaries of art and offering viewers more immersive and interactive experiences. However, along with the opportunities brought by these technological innovations, certain concerns arise. Particularly, uncertainties regarding the durability and longevity of digital art pieces raise questions about the enduring impact of art. While traditional art pieces may deteriorate or get lost over time, digital artworks face the risk of becoming inaccessible due to technological advancements or hardware obsolescence. This situation prompts a reevaluation of the role of art in creating lasting impressions and meanings throughout history. Nevertheless, the interaction between art and technology also brings the potential to broaden the universal language of art and encourage cultural exchange. Technology makes art more accessible, enabling artworks to reach a wider audience. For instance, digital art galleries and virtual exhibitions overcome geographical and social barriers, allowing for interaction with viewers. In conclusion, the relationship between art and technology signifies a significant change in both artistic practice and perception. While technology transforms art, the fundamental necessity of communicating with human emotions and creating meaning remains unchanged. Artists should continue to use technology as a tool to provide deep and meaningful experiences in their works. Throughout this process, it is crucial not to overlook the values and purposes that art has carried throughout history.
What’s the relationship between technology and art? For artist Doris Mitsch, technology is a collaborator, but it cannot replace the artist. In this exclusive conversation with Elise Hu, she shares her thoughts on art as a vehicle to make people feel something, rather than solely generating something to look at. From headphones to billboards! TED Talks Daily will deliver your daily dose of the latest and greatest ideas explored by host Elise Hu. Tune in on Amazon Music at https://lnkd.in/eHwazrZw
