Face it, the early bird gets the face full of spiderwebs. Sleep in. Learn more about hiking in parks at: https://lnkd.in/eWw9ukrv

Giving your friend the honor of going first down the trail also works well.

Sometimes, you just have to have that "neature" experience, by walking into a spiders' web while on the trail. 'Cause then you just HAVE to ask yourself, "Is the spider on me? Is it? I can't tell!" and freak out just a little bit! (Personally, I just wonder how the spider makes it across such long distances, do they have a trail committee?). 🕸

National parks and TSA media coordinators need raises I don't care what they are paid. It needs to be more.

My face has a beard with each hair acting as a “spidey sensor”. Try not to worry about what is in the same step when you are hiking if you are safe but, but be concerned about the next one, two or three steps ahead. This is a sign I designed to warn of unstable ground and slopes. It has proven especially good for people that don’t read text warnings. It seems appropriate.

I’m 6’3” and for the longest time wondered why my shorter friends always asked me to lead the way on hikes. Spider webs taste like chicken!

I couldn’t begin to number the amount of face first webs I’ve snacked on while running down trails. It builds character 👌🏽😁

I'm more concerned about the mountain lions and bear in Big Bend National Park. Though it's fair to say there are spiders to contend with...

Running cross country (distance) in High School, no one wanted to be the first on the trail for practice. Sometimes they discovered the wrong way why the were 'out front' of the group.

Oh, fantastic tip! Because nothing says "I'm at one with nature" quite like face-first encounters with spiderwebs. Who needs a stick when you can get up close and personal with all the lovely arachnids? Plus, it's a great way to surprise your hiking buddies with your new web-covered look. Truly embracing the wild, one sticky strand at a time. Thanks for the sage advice!
