Here are just a few reasons to book your next break… ❤️Studies have shown that taking vacations is linked with a lower risk of high blood pressure, high blood sugar, and metabolic syndrome — which are all related to heart disease, the leading cause of death. 💆AND… during vacations, we’re more active, get more sleep, and have less stress — all of which are tied to better health The big question is: where are you going? I help overworked, exhausted #highachievers regain control of their time, reduce stress which affects their gut, hormonal and mental health to feel empowered & their best in their mid years 💥
🌟First detox day 🌟 Apart from feeling a little bit weak physically and a dull headache so far so good 🤗 Yes - I could be doing so many other things! 💭2 shared lunches at school tomorrow 💭Herd records 💭Content creation 💭Finishing my first module for my functional diagnostic nutrition certification before Saturdays learning zoom 💭Getting ready for my zoom at 6.30am tomorrow 💭Dinner to put on 💭 Christmas calender to fill 💭 St. Nicolaus wants clean shoes for tomorrow morning..... We all have a looooong to do list especially at this time of year but I promised myself - when I truly need this 👇, I would! Why? Because I can choose to ignore what I need and not plan in little mini breaks and be absolutely chattered, worn out, possibly sick or over Christmas my time I get there or I can accept that it is a busy time of year but there is still little moments that I can take when I need & it makes the time to Christmas a totally different experience for me ( even though the actual things that need doing are probably the same 😉). What would you choose if you let yourself and why? I would love to hear, drop it in the comments and let's make this time of year as enjoyable, fun and energy reseving as we can 🤗🙌 Even if it is just 10 minutes (that's before the kids will have realised ivr gone missing 😂). Take it 💞 #choice #overwhelmed #burntout #shattered #mumlife #mumssupportingmums #highachievingwomen #todolists #yourwhy #perspectivechangeseverything

Day 1 Christmas Surival Guide: Setting Boundaries for a Healthy Holiday Season 🎄 As the holiday season approaches, it's easy to get caught up in the chaos and expectations of family gatherings, gift-giving, and ensuring everyone's happiness. While this time can bring joy, it can also be overwhelming and stressful. During the holiday season, it is crucial to establish healthy boundaries with your family to avoid burnout and conflicts, especially if you have a large or blended family. Prioritising self-care and maintaining clear communication are essential for a peaceful and enjoyable time together. Remember, just like any healthy relationship, setting and communicating boundaries is vital during this time of year. Let's make the holiday season joyful and harmonious! 🎄But what exactly are boundaries? Boundaries are limits that help define acceptable and unacceptable behaviour in a relationship. They are essential for maintaining balance, respect, and self-care. 💙 With Christmas just around the corner, now is the perfect time to reflect on your boundaries and ensure they are in place before the holiday rush begins. This will not only help you avoid feeling overwhelmed but also allow you to enjoy the season with your loved ones. 🎁 For more tips on setting healthy boundaries and navigating this Christmas, visit my blog. Post holidays, this is what's important to know when healing your relationship with food... When you're in the middle of healing your relationship with food, holidays can be the practice ground for experiencing how far you've come and what you're still working on. You may have noticed impulses to restrict so you could eat whatever you wanted at a party, you may have eaten more than you wanted to at a gathering, you may have felt so overwhelmed by all the interactions (or just simply that it is a holiday that includes loud booming noises for hours) that you went home and binged. If you're feeling guilt, shame, grief, or disappointment, your body is letting you know it needs your support to process yesterday's events and know it is safe. The person who has supported me in feeling safest in this world is my husband Ethan and we met 13 years ago today. Find someone or something to coregulate with today. It may feel like too much to send cues of safety to your body on your own. 🏷️ Tag a person below who supports you in feeling seen, heard, and held! #somaticeating #somatichealing #somatictherapy #somaticpractice #somaticawareness #relationshipwithfood #foodrelationship #postholiday #bingeeating #bingerestrict #bingeeatingrecovery #bingeeatingdisorder #bingeeatingsupport #cantstopeating #emotionaleatingsupport #eatingforsafety #foodcopingmechanism #feelingsafewithfood #disorderedeating #disorderedeatingrecovery #fightorflight #nervoussystemregulation #traumaresponse #healingtrauma #traumarecovery #somaticnutrition #somaticnutritionalcounseling #stephaniemarafox

Friendly holiday survival reminder… A PERFECT holiday doesn’t exist, but one that is stress-less and leaves you happy and calm will feel like perfection. It comes down to knowing what’s important and how you want your holiday to be. Is it spending time laughing with friends? Is it connecting deeper with family? Hugging your grandkids? Embracing the true spirit? Or do you want to spend your time freaking out because you burnt the cookies and aren’t done wrapping your presents? I didn’t think so. I myself had to adjust my perspective this year, so I didn’t lose my mind over trying to get packages sent to my family for Christmas Day. With a few slight changes in perspective, along with having an understanding of how you want to spend your time, you can make this holiday different. I tell my clients, some self-care and healthy choices will transform the season into the most wonderful time of the year! How can you change your perspective and experience a healthy holiday season? #stressfreeholiday #healthyholidays #livebetterlonger #healthylife #womenshealth #wellness #healthylifestyle #healthymehealthywe #wellnessdesigngroup #wellnesscoach #healthcoach #midlifewomen #longevity #healthymadeeasy #healthyaging #midlifehealth #menopauserelief #naplesfl #paradisecoast #redefineaging
