Ube, the wonderful purple colored yam. The first time I heard the word Ube I thought it was a mispronounced word or something. I was at Nautical Bowl with my son getting an after soccer snack. Ever since then I’ve slowly seen it’s pretty purple color popping up all over the place. I just read an article about it in the Trends Newsletter. So I think that means it’s officially a trend? Either way, I think Ube is a huge opportunity for dessert companies to jump on right now.
