Happy Canada Day Eh! 💖 As Canada Day, rolls around, I find myself reflecting on what this day means to us. It’s not just a moment to honor our values of inclusion, resilience and working together, as well as a time for reflection, and gratitude. 💖 Some fun facts about Canada ✨Unlike many countries, our celebration isn’t about a war, but a peaceful request to Queen Victoria by the Upper & Lower colonies of Canada to form our own nation. ✨The second largest country in the world. ✨One of the longest highways in the world and the longest coastline is in Canada. ✨Basketball was invented by a Canadian. ✨We have more lakes than any other country. ✨Canada is famous for Niagara Falls, Banff, and the Northern Lights. ✨We’re a major producer of maple syrup. ✨Poutine originated in Quebec. ✨Canadians are known for tolerance, sensitivity, political correctness, being polite, saying ‘sorry’ & ‘eh’ ✨The beaver is Canada’s national animal. ✨Our border with the US is the longest unprotected border in the world. ✨Often known for its cold winters. Coldest recorded temp: -63 degrees C ✨Famous Canadians: Michael J. Fox, William Shatner, Martin Short, Jim Carrey, Celine Dion, and more, plus ‘The Rick Mercer Report’ is a must watch for Canadian satire. As in most countries, it wasn’t all glory. It’s also important to acknowledge and remember the difficult times as stepping stones towards reconciliation and a brighter future. 💖 On this Canada Day, let’s cherish our opportunities and freedoms we enjoy daily and be truly grateful for these, and grateful for being a good neighbor to the US. 🚀 Today, I’d love to hear your favorite Canada memories and what you’re grateful for in your country. Happy Canada Day! 🎯 Every day holds a seed of transformation; life is evolution and resilience in the face of challenge I’m Luann: Liked this post? I have lived in Canada for 10+ years. Here are 7 reasons why I absolutely love Canada 🍁 1. Inclusive Culture: Canada embraces diversity. No matter where you are from Canada will accept you as its own. 2. Breathtaking Landscapes: Canada is beautiful and clean. I just cannot get enough of Canada 3. Warmth in the Cold: Beyond the winter chill, there's a warmth in the Canadian spirit. The kindness and friendliness of the people make every frosty day a little brighter. 4. Safety & Security: Feeling safe is a priceless gift. Canada's commitment to security and the rule of law provides a foundation for a peaceful and thriving community. 5. Healthcare System: This is a bit controversial. But come on it's still free and they are trying to fix it. 6. Love the Canadian Seasons: I know some people complain about the cold but hey not all of Canada is a snow land. And you get to enjoy the summer barbeque and the winter skiing. 7. Canadian Politeness: The list would not be complete without this. "Sorry" is practically a national anthem! The politeness and courtesy of Canadians create an atmosphere of respect that I've come to appreciate more and more. . . . I help founders create personal brands using social media because today it's all about how strong your connection is with your audience. If you would like me to help you with it hit me up: thinkwithmohib@gmail.com #canada #thoughts #gratitude

This time last year, we had just returned from our year abroad living and working in Europe. Today, as we celebrate Canada Day, I find myself in a reflective mood, thinking about how much has changed and what's to come. Last year, Canada Day was about celebrating coming home and reuniting with our creature comforts: friends, family, sushi (!), the forest, grocery stores we knew the layout of on the back of our hands. This year, it's an inflection point—a moment to reflect on where I've been and where I want to go. The past 12 months since we landed back in Canada have given me a new perspective on the value of our "Adventure Year." It was a time of immense learning and growth, teaching me the delicate balance between adventure and routine. I've realized that too much of one thing can lead to a craving for the other. Too much adventure? We crave comfort and routine. Too much comfort and routine? We crave adventure and novelty. In this duality, there is no destination. Only a dance. As we enter the back half of the year, I'm reflecting on what I've created in my business and life so far, and what I aspire to build in the next 6-12 months. Sometimes, time and distance provide the clarity we lack when we're too close to something. And it's this ongoing dance of dualities that I hope to embrace more fully this year. → Change and Acceptance → Adventure and Routine → Work and Rest → Strength and Vulnerability → Independence and Connection Canada Day can mean many things to many people. Today, for me, it signifies reflection and celebration. If it does to you too, in 1 or 2 words, what do you hope to embrace more fully this year? P.S. In case you were wondering, yes, I LOVE Caesars and will definitely be enjoying one today. I’m also craving poutine, so that's on the agenda too. 😉
