#EmpowerLocal: Pro Tip for Local Business We all feel like picking someone else's brain once in a while. Think Local First is lucky to have a diversity of local business owners who know a thing (or two). We are going around picking brains, collecting snaps of expertise, catching every piece of advice our members are eager to share. Because it's all about creating community. We're better together! What a better way to open our segment than popping into Robinson's Outdoor Store and chatting with fourth generation owner, Erin Boggs. "Don't overextend yourselves, rely on your team", she says. Watch the video to hear the complete Pro Tip. #thinklocalfirst

🤝💼 Unlocking Success: The Power of Community in Business! 🌐🚀 In the world of business, we often talk about strategies, products, and profits. But there's another critical element that's often underestimated – the power of community. 🤗💪 Community isn't just about customers; it's about building relationships that extend beyond transactions. It's the backbone of trust, loyalty, and brand advocacy. When a community rallies around your business, incredible things happen. This support system offers invaluable feedback, fuels innovation, and provides a sense of belonging. It's a reminder that businesses aren't just about products or services; they're about people coming together for a shared purpose. So, let's celebrate the communities that uplift our businesses! They remind us that success isn't just about what we sell, but also about the connections we foster and the positive impact we make. Together, we can achieve greatness! 🌟 🌍 #CommunityInBusiness #BusinessConnections #PowerOfCommunity #Pingfluence #BetterTogether Pingfluence Oliver Andersen-Cox Shanell H. Samuel Duarte-Davies

A few months ago I posted about our 'Roadworker of the Week' series, a small idea that has grown legs, with continually positive sentiment from the public. We've now delivered over 25 posts, and we're seeing some amazing things happening - Roadworkers who see the posts are nominating themselves to showcase the work they do within the industry - People are nominating roadworkers they know, or have met - People are seeing our roadworker of the week, and sharing a story to prove how worthy they are of the title (like the below, an additional story we posted yesterday) - Unprompted, people are telling our staff they love these posts - Our teams are starting to plan a road worker of the week to tie in with other campaigns, or project milestones Humanising these amazing people shows everyone that roadworkers are a crucial part of society, not just mobile road cones. And just maybe, we can create a bit of behaviour change as well. Looking forward to the next 25 Roadworkers of the Week, and beyond.
You might've seen one of our Roadworker of the Week posts earlier this month, highlighting Graham Cooper from Fulton Hogan who works in the Manawatū-Whanganui region. After this post, we received a message that we had to share. While Graham was out, a four-year-old named Archie was very excited to see the grader in action! Graham went out of his way to stop and ask Archie if he wanted to take a look in the cab, who was more than keen to jump in and check it out! Thanks Graham for making Archie's week - we hear he won't stop talking about it.
