We’ve produced new evidence for The Autism Alliance about the needs of autistic adults and their families in England. Our report, Mapping supply and demand for care services for autistic adults in England, found that over 10,000 autistic adults in England are not receiving the social care support they need. In our report, we explore the barriers that have, and continue to, contribute to this figure, as well as enablers that may help to reduce it. Read our findings in full here: https://lnkd.in/diJaYMdG.
Our report findings form part of The Autism Alliance’s Breaking Point campaign, which is raising awareness of the consequences of underinvestment in social care support for autistic adults and their families in England. The campaign is calling on the Government, local authorities, the NHS and the CQC to close the gap in care for autistic adults and to commit to wider reform of the social care system.
