Week 4 of FourBlock SouthEast Virtual Fall 2023 cohort was epic!
USAA hosted this week's topic "Triangulating Your Career Transition Start Point"
Edward "EJ" O’Brien III, Amber Heinz, and Tammy Reed brought great insight to our topic.
We discussed aligning your goals with your career:
1. Job
2. Location
3. Salary
4. Culture Fit
Getting two or three of these should be the goal. if you can get all four, you are blessed.
Our Career Coaches Robert K. Lambert and Andrew Dorich, PMP showed up to help out and be great mentors.
Our topic next week is "LinkedIn and Your Online Professional Presence".
We will go over topics of building a good profile. Proper photos and headlines that line up with career goals and how to personally brand oneself on LinkedIn.

Loved learning more about “Capital Markets” from this trio at Newmark during the BOMA Greater Phoenix info session!
Barry Gabel, Charles Osbrink, and Chris Marchildon each provided such unique insight from current and past lease and purchase & sale transactions they have completed throughout their careers 🤝
Biggest takeaway:
Have a personal connection with your tenants, property managers, and vendors! Aka, know their names and what they are doing outside of work…
We are in the people business, not the brick & mortar business!

-Lunchtime Atop a Skyscraper-
I’ve always loved this picture.
There are good reasons why it’s hanging behind me in my home office.
The grit.
The perseverance.
The fortitude.
The vision.
The teamwork.
As many of us are preparing for AAOS next week, I can’t help but draw a parallel to working all year to hit your quota.
January is typically time for national sales meetings, quota assignment, and a “lunch break“ to celebrate and catch your breath.
Now it’s February.
Game on.
It’s likely your quota hasn’t decreased from 2023.
How do you plan to strategize and build your pipeline for another successful year in 2024?

120 days, 2,880 hours, 172,800 minutes. It might seem like a lot or a little, but what could you achieve in 4 months?
This is a time of year where I personally reflect on what have I achieved this year and what haven’t I?
With what I haven’t, I then put in place a plan on what needs to happen to make all my goals achievable this year!
I think to myself “what makes failure seem unreasonable”
And I go hard!
I also do this with my clients.
In 4 months Josh added over $30k in Recurring revenue.
In 3 months Jacob hired 3 new team members and reduced his workload by almost half!
What is it that you want to achieve in the final 4 months of the year?
Think about that and then establish what do you need and need to do to achieve that!
Now isn’t the time to be waiting to start!
Now is the time to do it!
You want to leave the year on a positive!
Go get clear on what you still want to achieve this goal and work to hit it!

Recent studies have shown that playing Rock Paper Scissors can be a powerful tool in #building strong #teams and #improving workplace #communication.
Here are five reasons why:
1. Breaking down barriers: It requires no special skills or equipment, can help break down barriers and get team members comfortable with each other. This can be especially beneficial in new teams, where people may not know each other very well.
2. #Improving#communication skills: Rock Paper Scissors is all about strategy and communication. Playing the game can help improve communication skills by teaching team members to be clear and concise in their instructions.
3. Encouraging #teamwork: By working together to come up with different strategies, team members can learn to collaborate effectively and make decisions as a unit.
4. Enhancing #problemsolving skills: They can quickly analyze a situation and come up with a strategy to win. This can be beneficial in the workplace, where team members often need to think on their feet and come up with solutions to unexpected problems.
5. #Reducingstress and #tension By taking a quick break to play the game, team members can refocus their energy and approach their work with a renewed sense of enthusiasm.
In conclusion, playing Rock Paper Scissors may seem like a simple and childish activity, but it can have powerful benefits in the workplace. By breaking down barriers, improving communication skills, encouraging teamwork, enhancing problem-solving skills, and reducing stress and tension, the game can help build strong teams and improve workplace communication.
