The metric system, never really made it in the USA. I made the comment to several UF co-workers and they told me “that ship has already sailed” it will never fly. I don’t think so. Impact, Impact, Impact ! This was the keyword used when I started many years ago publishing my first paper as a graduate student. Our department chair would ask on a daily basis what is your impact factor? And how are you going to improve it? The impact of EDsnaps - STEAM Programs in NYC programs is clear in the powerful video “All STEAM Stars” created by Carol Colmenares and Rafael Parra, Timeline Digital NYC. Our impact: 100% retention in our 4-week full time free Summer Program. And as reported by our students and counselors and observed by our staff: an overal mental-wellbeing improvement, positive changes in behavioral patterns including our students with disabilities, increased cognitive sharpness and decreased social anxiety feelings.
