Head of Innovation, Technology & the Future of Work, Citi Global Insights

Enjoyed welcoming 261 summer interns to Citi and am excited for them - often in life unlocking one door leads to other doors and opportunities opening up. We discussed: 1. How finance can be a critical enabler of progress for innovation, companies, sectors and countries 2. How artificial intelligence will disrupt some jobs, but also create a boom for many others 3. What the skills of the future in an AI Age will be, including celebrating human centric roles that machines cannot do, such as building relationships, empathy and leadership 4. The need to embrace and get good at adaptability (AQ > EQ > IQ), including perspection, resilience and entrepreneurship 5. How apprenticeship may change if AI takes on more entry-level tasks…..but will always be led by H2H collaboration between experts, team HR and apprentices 6. And given one of the secret of success in an AI Age will be asking the right questions, I loved the groups insightful and challenging questions. The curiosity and bravery of beginners is both a tonic and a reminder that we never stop learning from each other. Getting good internships is not easy, but they can change the direction of people’s lives, forever. Exciting. Charlotte Antell Pilar T. Pérez-Griffo Jaén Ingrid Giordano Fei Wenyan
