The Scribbr team got together for our annual Christmas event last Friday! 🎄 This was the perfect moment to: ✅ Connect with the team. ✅ Celebrate our successes. ✅ Reflect on the past year. Like our co-founders mentioned in their end-of-year speech, 2023 was a challenging but, most of all, exciting year: 💪 We innovated and reinvented ourselves to adapt to market developments. 💪 We strengthened our collaboration with our partners QuillBot and LanguageTool. 💪 While we continued to live by our values of growth, leadership, openness, and happiness. We are extremely proud of the adaptability, positive mindset, and efforts of our team and are excited for 2024! ✨

Not too long ago, our team embarked on a journey to define our company's direction. Instead of a top-down decision, we decided to involve everyone in the team to give their input. The result? A shared vision that wasn't imposed but rather discussed and aligned with everyone. This collective decision-making process has not only brought us closer as a team but also made us more confident about the direction we're heading in. It was a powerful reminder of the strength of collective decision-making. How does your team approach important decisions?

Week of Winning Teams: Day 1 - A Clear Mission What sets winning teams apart? It starts with a crystal-clear mission. This week, we're diving into the 5 pillars that build a successful team, starting today with the foundation: a clear mission. A mission acts as the team's North Star, guiding every decision, strategy, and action. It’s the “why” behind the hustle. Without it, even the most talented teams can lose direction. Is your team aligned with a clear, compelling mission? If not, it’s time to refocus and realign. Stay tuned for tomorrow, where we'll explore the importance of having the best people in pursuit of that mission. #TeamSuccess #ClearMission #LeadershipGoals

These two things are CRITICAL as you grow your team: It's true at 5 people and even more true at 500 people! The problem actually gets bigger as you scale, not smaller. I'm talking about team alignment & accountability. 1) alignment - what success looks like 2) accountability - how we ensure we get there Jim Collins nailed the alignment piece when he said: "Vision is 1%, alignment is 99%." But he missed the accountability piece. In a recent session with Highland members, I dive into how important a company operating system is for driving both alignment AND accountability. It's arguably the highest leverage activity a leader can do. ___ 📌 You won’t wanna miss this! I’m hosting my FIRST EVER free masterclass on June 4 & 5. I’ll be diving into what it really takes to grow from $0-$100M as a founder/CEO. Save your spot here: https://lnkd.in/eWmcEi_i

Innovation doesn't happen by accident. 💥 Here's how to sow the land (metaphorically speaking): 1. Leverage diversity. Bring in people with different backgrounds for different perspectives. 2. Encourage collaboration & experimentation. 🤝 3. Empower the team with tactical decision-making authority. 4. Acknowledge failure. Fail fast and learn. 🚀 5. Rinse & repeat. 🔁 Start today!

An aligned team is more than the sum of its parts. But a misaligned team is far less than the sum of its parts. CEO-S aligns your team to execute on your vision. If you’re ready to build that alignment, we want to talk to you. Schedule a time to talk with our founders here: https://lnkd.in/gzge_aVr
