Just wrapped up an insightful session in Singapore on our latest #WEBrandsinMotion report, "Bridging the AI Expectation Gap". Massive thanks to Arun Sudhaman, Editor-in-Chief and CEO at PRovoke Media, for his exceptional moderation of the panel and his incisive questions. Thank you to our panelists - Daniel Feiler, Senior Director of Communication APJ at ServiceNow, Meenu Handa, Vice-President, Global Communications & Public Affairs, Google, Daryl H. Managing Director of WE Communications Singapore, and Stephen Robertson, Managing Director of WATATAWA (Walk the Talk, Talk the Walk) - for a stimulating discussion! Here are my key takeaways on AI adoption in business: 👉 1. Vision-action gap: While excitement about AI's potential is high among business leaders, there's a clear gap between vision and action. More can be done for investment into AI in terms of training and fostering a culture of continuous learning. 👉 2. Primary concerns about AI: Cybersecurity risks top the list, followed by fears of job losses, over-reliance on AI, and lack of quality control. However, most organisations are open to transformation, revealing a tremendous opportunity for business. 👉 3. The power of communication: Effective communication is crucial in bridging the AI gap. Transparent dialogue about AI within organisations can reduce fears about cybersecurity and job changes, build trust, and encourage support for AI strategies. Notably, 42% of Australian leaders see transparency as key to maintaining employee trust—the highest rate globally, followed by India, China, and Singapore. 👉 4. Opportunities ahead: Despite challenges, there's optimism about AI's potential across various departments like Customer Service, Marketing, Communications and Product Development. We also see nuances in each market, particularly in Australia and Singapore, where Operations was identified as one of the departments that'll benefit from AI. 👉 5. Taking action: It's time for businesses to act on AI. From auditing sentiment to updating crisis preparedness plans, proactive engagement coupled with effective communication is crucial for success in the AI era. So, let's collaborate and innovate to seize the opportunities AI presents! Read our new #WEBrandsInMotion report to find out how: https://bit.ly/3y4IEM7 Chase India
