Creating The Future of Entertainment Sustainability | Historically Accurate Educational Impact Experience Park | Helping Legends CRE8 Eternity | Haunted Texas Theme Park Destination Resort & Convention Center
Dear Williamson County Community, We are thrilled to present “Haunted Texas,” a project born from the spirit of our heritage and a vision for our future. This is much more than a theme park—it’s a beacon for economic growth and a catalyst for unity in our community. Economic Revitalization: “Haunted Texas” promises a wave of job opportunities, from the craftsmen shaping our attractions to the tech wizards behind our virtual experiences. We are not just building a park; we are uplifting local businesses and crafting a tourist destination that will channel vital revenue back into our beloved county, enhancing public services and infrastructure. Social Harmony: At its core, “Haunted Texas” will be a gathering place—a venue for events that weave the fabric of our society tighter, fostering pride and solidarity. Our interactive exhibits aren’t just about thrills; they’re about education, about delving into the depths of our state’s past to bring to light the stories that shaped us. A Safer Community: Our youth are the architects of tomorrow, and through “Haunted Texas,” we offer them a path away from the crossroads of delinquency. By partnering with justice programs, we’re also paving a road to redemption for ex-offenders, believing in second chances and the power of rehabilitation. Family Bonds: Families are the cornerstone of Williamson County, and our park is dedicated to creating a space where they can forge lifelong memories. We understand the challenges faced by families of incarcerated individuals and extend our support to them, aiming to bring solace and joy into their lives. Preventing Crime, Promoting Trust: We stand with the Texas Criminal Justice Coalition in the belief that prevention is pivotal. “Haunted Texas” will actively support diversion programs for at-risk youth and collaborate with law enforcement to build bridges of trust between them and the communities they protect. “Haunted Texas” is more than a name; it’s a commitment to our county’s prosperity, security, and heart. Join us as we turn this vision into a legacy for generations to come. Sincerely, AmyBTrippinYo on X #HauntedTexas #WilliamsonCounty #CommunityFirst #EcoFriendlyFun #TexasJobs #LocalTourism #HistoricTexas #FamilyEntertainment #SocialImpact #JusticeReform #CrimePrevention #YouthEngagement #EconomicGrowth #SustainableDevelopment #TexasPride

March shines a light on Social Work Month! Today, we're spotlighting Lisa Richards Ryan, LSW! Unit, title, years of experience? Office of Intake and Emergency Services District Manager 27 years What do you do at the Department? I am the District Manager of the Office of Intake and Emergency Services on St. Croix. As a Social Worker/District Manager, it is important to have many characteristic traits, such as honesty, empathy, effective communication skills, being non-biased, as well as being a good listener. Who does your unit help? Intake is a unit that functions under the guidelines of Title 5 of the Virgin Islands Code, mandating that this unit protects the children of our community from abuse as well as neglect. Why is it important? Social Workers are public servants who are dedicated to ensuring that the children of our community are safe in their environments. Why would other social workers want to come work at DHS? Working with the Department of Human Services has allowed me to be exposed to so many families that need assistance. This work has also allowed me to grow and develop the skills and experience necessary to become a better person, not only for myself but also for others.

Yesterday, we were in Parliament to meet with the Minister for Children, Families and Wellbeing, David Johnston OBE MP. Top of the agenda were the Government's plans for reforming children's social care and our proposals for ensuring more children can live safely and thrive in their families with proper support. We had a lot to cover, including: ☎️ The importance of early specialist advice for families so they can understand what is happening and their rights, options and responsibilities 👨👨👧👦 How family group conferences galvanise the strengths of families to make a safe plan for children and avert them from the care system 💜 Why the national kinship care strategy needs to be ambitious to make a real impact on kinship families across the country 🧑🤝🧑How investment in our Lifelong Links approach is transforming the lives of children and young people in care and care leavers, by making sure they have a support network around them ⚖️ The urgent need for legal aid reform for families when their children are deprived of their liberty, often isolated far from home 📸L to R: Jordan Hall, Minister Johnston, Caroline Lynch, Cathy Ashley, Pam Ledward

A great leader and great organization.
CarePortal is #hiring for a part-time Church Ambassador in Detroit! Ambassadors serve as the leading relational ministry experts to churches and community champions that are assigned to their network. These network leaders are trusted, experientially-qualified local leaders who recruit, train, empower, and walk alongside church and community leaders as they use the CarePortal platform with a vision for how to engage the “Whole Church” across lines of denomination, race, class, and culture. A person would love this role if God has given them a vision for seeing the Church answering the call for caring for the vulnerable and have a natural ability to network clergy and community leaders together. If that sounds like you, or someone in your network, let's chat! Together we can reverse the foster care crisis in Michigan one child, one family, one connection at a time. https://lnkd.in/dh8rQ8y2

🌟 Taller Salud: Making Strides in Community Safety 🌟 For the past 11 years, Taller Salud's Peace and Development initiative has been a beacon of hope for the town of Loiza, Puerto Rico. Their tireless efforts have resulted in an astounding 82% reduction in lethal violence within the community. It's high time our government recognizes the power of alternative justice methods. The Acuerdo de Paz model is a testament to the potential of restorative justice. Let's emulate this success throughout Puerto Rico, addressing the root causes of violence. This means dismantling institutional racism, providing top-tier education, improving public transportation, ensuring quality healthcare, and fostering economic opportunities. Reading about the progress made in Los Angeles is a source of inspiration. The Watts truce of 1992, a groundbreaking peace agreement between rival gangs, led to a remarkable 44% drop in gang-related murders in the area within the first two years. Aqeela Sherrills, a key negotiator of this truce, shares his extraordinary journey from Watts to the forefront of community-based public safety efforts, even collaborating with the White House on preventing gun violence. Let's continue to forge paths toward safer, more inclusive communities. 🤝 Learn more: https://buff.ly/3LLghq7 Via: #ForeignPolicy #TallerSalud #PazYDesarrollo #PYD #CommunitySafety #RestorativeJustice #PuertoRicoStrong

Check out these 5 questions I recently addressed with the NJ Office of the Food Security Advocate.
St. Joseph Social Service Center in Elizabeth, NJ, is not only providing healthier food to neighbors who are struggling to keep up with rent increases, staying in a shelter or facing other hardships - the community organization’s work also builds bridges in Union County. St. Joseph Food Program Director Corey Wu-Jung, MS, RDN did a speed round Q & A with OFSA to share more about the center’s vision of upholding dignity in customers’ shopping experience and the needs they are hearing in their community.
