Alongside the news that Nicolas de Tavernost will step down as Chairman of the Executive Board, GROUPE M6 has published its full-year results for 2023. D DAY… DAYS LIKE THIS!!! RALLY COMPETITION is among the most difficult sports to coordinate from every angle. I was incharge of production and broadcasting and it was a wild success. Recruited a team and trained for the sole purpose of the competition. Yes!!! the challenges is what builds us… so we took the challenge as new lesson. Watchout for next year. Groupe TF1 Records a Surge in Viewership and Revenue in Q3, 2023! The TF1 Group, a prominent broadcasting entity from France, disclosed that it garnered a weekly viewership of around 50 million during the third quarter, notably with its Rugby World Cup France 2023 coverage, which drew 15.6 million viewers for the inaugural match. Its digital streaming service, #MYTF1, experienced an uptick with an average of 27.4 million streams over eight months, concluding in August 2023. EFL clubs have unanimously approved a five-year, £935 million deal with Sky Sports for the seasons 2024/25 to 2028/29. The agreement, comprising £895 million in guaranteed payments and £40 million in marketing benefits, marks a 50% increase from the current rights deal. Sky Sports will exclusively broadcast over 1,000 matches annually, maintaining the Saturday blackout period but introducing more streaming options, replacing the iFollow service. The deal enhances fan planning with longer notice periods for TV selections, and financial distributions are set to rise by 46% for Championship clubs and 25% for Leagues One and Two. #EFL #Broadcasting #skysports #commercial

It is interesting to see how commercial revenues have surpassed the broadcasting revenues for the top 10 European clubs. The commercial segment (main shirt sponsorship, kit supplier deals, etc.) has nearly reached a 50% share of the total operating revenue (without players transfers), underscoring the escalating significance of commercial endeavors in the football industry. The broadcasting facet is showing signs of reaching a saturation point or plateau. Despite different deal values in absolute terms for these top 10 clubs, it is important to note that the ratio of the kit supplier value to the main shirt sponsor value falls within a narrow range of 1.0x to 1.7x. While the shift of football towards entertainment, global fan engagement, and the transformation of top clubs into global brands suggest a continued dominance of the commercial component, it's essential to consider the impact of new football regulations and evolving media landscapes. Additionally, the emergence of new ways to consume the sport through digitalization will further shape the relative importance of different revenue streams in the future. #footballindustry
