This month's Alumni Spotlight is Henry Decoo from Entech! HOMETOWN: Bronx, NY TITLE: Director of Sales COMPANY: Entech LEADERSHIP YEAR: 2020 How do you stay connected with area professionals? "I stay connected with area professionals by utilizing a mix of networking events, online platforms like LinkedIn, and my participation on the Leadership Sarasota Council and Leadership Alumni Committee. I also engage in industry-specific associations, attend professional development programs, and foster relationships through informal meetings and community involvement to build a strong network of connections." What was the most impactful part about the Leadership Sarasota program? "The most impactful part of the program was getting to go behind the scenes and learning about how all of the different segments of the business community come together to advance the Sarasota community. This helped me to get a better understanding of how I can help to contribute to our community’s growth and prosperity by getting more involved." What’s the best piece of professional advice you have been given? "Solve a problem or go away. We are either helping people achieve their goals or solve their problems. That’s the mentality we need to have when we are conducting business."

Highly motivated and results-oriented Business Information Security Partner. Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams in securing critical business initiatives, security assessments, regulatory compliance.
Great night last night at the TechSec Leadership: Dallas Networking Evening event facilitated by Kodi Connect LLC. We did some great networking with great people from companies around the DFW Metroplex area. Shout out to the vendors and presenter for a great job! The presentations by, and discussion with, the vendors present at the event were valuable. The discussions highlighted the growing threats and growing solutions in the Cybersecurity space as the bad guys use new technologies and methods to accomplish their goals. At the same time, it exposed the great work done in the security space to help make our world safer. The work continues and new solutions are becoming available. One of the thoughts that kept coming back up in my mind is the role humans play in keeping things safe or not. Awareness goes a long way. As we wrap up Cybersecurity Awareness Month I would urge everyone to keep the awareness up. Both in your personal life and business environments. This awareness month should carry through and become part of daily life. Be diligent, don’t relax, and keep in mind this is true: A little awareness goes a long way to avoid trouble later.
Our Dallas TechSec Leadership Event was one for the books! A big thank you to our attendees and sponsors for making this evening amazing! ✨💻🌐

Founder and CEO of Young Visionaries Youth Leadership Academy and Terrance Stone School and Community Consultants, Terrance Stone, recently spoke to High Desert Youth about the significance of persevering towards your goals and dreams, despite negative influences that may try to derail you. Mr. Stone's message was clear: don't let anything stop you from achieving your aspirations. Negative influences can come in many forms, such as peer pressure, societal norms, and even self-doubt. However, it's important to stay focused on your goals and not give in to these negative influences. As the CEO of two organizations that focus on youth leadership and community development, Mr. Stone has seen firsthand the positive impact that can come from staying true to your goals and dreams. His message resonated with the High Desert Youth, inspiring them to stay motivated and persevere towards their own aspirations. Remember, it's important to stay focused on your goals and not let negative influences hold you back. Keep pushing forward and striving towards your dreams!
