Something that needs discussion about spray operators and boom heights when spraying canola and other tall crops. Notice in the video the operators RH boom tip is nearly at the height of his cab. We know by current testing methods for chemical residues, spray drift is damaging trees and everything in it’s path, including populated areas in country towns, yet governments choose to ignore these facts. The current wind speed at this spray event is 11 knots. How far is this likely to travel in the wind in gusty conditions? Remember according to the GRDC anything over 1 meter is 10 x off target and remains airborne. Who are they poisoning?
