Unexpressed emotions can result in different health issues such as "heart disease, mental illness, intestinal problems, headaches, insomnia, and autoimmune disorders." If employees experience these, it can affect your organization's productivity. One way to help employees take care of their well-being is to "encourage positive expression" of their emotions e.g. acknowledging them and sharing them in a respectful way to someone they are comfortable with at work or outside work if that is a better starting place for them.
